Rebecca Ferguson wants Megan McKenna to win ‘X Factor: Celebrity’.
The 33-year-old singer – who was the runner-up on ‘The X Factor’ in 2010 – had been backing Martin Bashir before his elimination in week three and now believes former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star Megan, 27, should emerge as the winner on Saturday’s (30.11.19) final.
When asked if she has watched this year’s series, Rebecca exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I’ve seen bits of it. I liked Martin Bashir, he wasn’t the best singer but he gave it a go. It was somebody you think of as being serious stepping out of his comfort zone. It was light-hearted.
"I have performed with Megan McKenna and she was amazing so I’ll be rooting for her."
‘X Factor’ head judge Simon Cowell is also lining up a new show in the franchise, ‘The X Factor: The Band’, which will hit screens next month and Rebecca thinks Simon’s changes to the original singing competition are what helps keep viewers interested.
Rebecca – who is set to kick off ‘The X Factor: Celebrity’ final with a live performance at JustEat’s BOXPARK Wembley screening party – said: "Simon’s always been that way. He’s always changing stuff and that has made him successful."
