Ray Quinn up for Hollyoaks return

Ray Quinn would "love" to return to ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 31-year-old actor bowed out of the Channel 4 soap last month when his far-right extremist character Jonny Baxter was arrested, and the former ‘X Factor’ star admits it is in the show’s bosses’ hands about whether he could make a comeback to the famous village.
He said: "I’ve just finished it [‘Hollyoaks’]. Whether I’m back, I’m not sure.
"That’s in their hands, but I would love to return."
In the meantime, Ray has plenty to keep himself busy as he’s set to star in panto ‘Aladdin’ in Bolton over the festive period, and he is to release a new album next year.
He added to new! magazine: "I’m in Bolton in panto and I’ve been recording my album. It’s out next year."
Ray recently said his stint on ‘Hollyoaks’ had been the "opportunity of a lifetime", and he hopes the far-right extremism plot will help to make a "better world" for his kids.
The hard-hitting plot reached a dramatic conclusion last month when his character Jonny’s partner in crime Stuart Sumner (Chris Simmons) was pushed off a cliff to his death by his son Sid Sumner (Billy Price).
The storyline had seen popular character Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) radicalised by Stuart and Jonny.
The former ‘Brookside’ star said: "In the most part it’s been positive and I’m really pleased to have been part of it. Plus, getting cast for something that I wouldn’t usually have been considered for, after being in the West End and on reality TV, is an opportunity of a lifetime.
"Having the opportunity from [executive producer] Bryan Kirkwood to be cast in such a way is a chance to prove myself as an actor again."
