Rachel Weisz ready to take on risky roles

Rachel Weisz wants to "take more risks" in her career.
The 46-year-old British star – whose husband is Daniel Craig – has decided to stretch herself on screen after three decades in the film business and a host of acclaimed roles, including a Best Supporting Actress Oscar-winning performance in ‘The Constant Gardener’.
In an interview with the Metro newspaper, she spilled: "I don’t really feel that risky. I feel I have got to be more risky. I’ve decided now I intend to take more risks."
Weisz’s latest film is ‘Denial’ in which she plays Holocaust scholar Deborah Lipstadt and which is based on Lipstadt’s book ‘History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier’ which is about the Irving v Penguin Books Ltd case when she was sued by Holocaust denier David Irving for libel.
Weisz stars alongside Tom Wilkinson, Andrew Scott, Alex Jennings and Timothy Spall – who plays Irving – and she has nothing but praise for Spall’s portrayal of the Nazi sympathiser.
She said: "It’s miraculous how Spall played the character. At times I felt a bit sorry for David Irving and I’m meant to hate him. Timothy played him like a real person. Tim’s one of the best people to sit next to in a trailer at five in the morning. He’s audacious, wild, shocking and deeply funny. He’s wonderful – very sprightly and quick on his toes."
