Rachel Brosnahan calls for more support for Time’s Up

Rachel Brosnahan used her Critics’ Choice Award speech to promote the Time’s Up initiative.
The 27-year-old actress picked up the Best Actress in a Comedy Series prize for her role in Amazon’s ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ and when she took to the stage at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Thursday (11.01.18), she reminded those attending that they could still get involved in the anti-harassment campaign, which is aiming to raise money to help provide legal and financial support to fight back against sexual harassment and abuse.
At the Golden Globe awards at the weekend, many actresses walked the red carpet in black outfits to symbolise their support for the initiative, and though that wasn’t the cast at the Critics’ Choice Awards, Rachel insisted that didn’t mean it had been forgotten.
The actress – who wore a pink Zuhair Murad dress teamed with Nicholas Kirkwood heels, a Tyler Ellis bag, and Messika jewellery – said: "I know we’re not all here in black tonight, but let’s not lose focus.
"If you haven’t already, please go to TimesUpNow.com and donate to the legal defense fund. Let’s keep this going, please. Thank you so much."
Rachel previously revealed Eva Longoria had personally called her and asked her to get involved with Time’s Up.
Speaking at the Golden Globe awards, she said: "I got a phone call very shortly afterward, telling me a little bit about these women who had been meeting for quite some time, asking what they could do to help and how they could best use this platform to bring everyone together in solidarity, women across all industries.
"She [Eva] told me … that they had started the legal defense fund, and that they were working on effecting policy, that they’ve joined together with so many people in this industry, and activists. And we’re hoping to do more … I was extremely honored to be invited into this group, and here tonight to invite everyone to join us … You are not alone, and it’s really incredible to see that represented here tonight."
