Queen + Adam Lambert are set to get their own limited-time Las Vegas residency.
The ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ hitmakers teamed up with the former ‘American Idol’ contestant in 2011 – with Adam filling in the vocals after the passing of Queen’s frontman Freddie Mercury in 1991 – and they are now set to rock the Park Theatre at Park MGM in Las Vegas for a limited time in September.
Queen + Adam Lambert will take to the stage for 10 dates in an engagement entitled ‘The Crown Jewels’, which will see them perform between September 1 and 22, with a show date on September 8 falling on Queen Day, which former Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman declared in 2004.
Guitarist Brian May said: "We’re ready to take on the ultimate challenge … to dazzle Vegas!!"
Whilst Roger Taylor added: "[We are] looking forward to rocking the Strip [with] the audaciously and phenomenally talented Adam Lambert."
Tickets for the shows range from $79 to $350, with a limited number of on-stage seats also available, all of which will go on sale on Friday, May 11, at 10am PST.
A limited number of VIP packages are available, whilst members of both Queen and Adam Lambert’s fan clubs will be able to access tickets before the general public, with a pre-sale starting on Tuesday, May 8, at 10am PST.
Queen + Adam Lambert are the latest in a long line of acts who have accepted Las Vegas residencies, with Gwen Stefani having recently announced her very first residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, which starts this June.
She said in a statement: "To be able to do a show in Vegas is such an incredible honour. Growing up in Anaheim, California, I could never have imagined one day having my own Vegas residency.
"I have been so fortunate to tour throughout my career, but to create a show for Vegas is something I’ve never experienced and I can’t wait."
