Puff Daddy wants his music to become a hobby.
Though the 46-year-old rapper – whose real name is Sean Combs – is keen to focus on other endeavours, including acting, he insists he won’t be giving up on recording for good.
He said: "I won’t be saying no more music ever.
" I know I’ve been doing it for a long time and I want to focus on other things.
"I think it’s important to say to yourself when you’re gonna focus on other things and then music won’t be as much of a job, it’s more like a hobby and I’ll be able to be a fan and I look forward to that."
And when he does decide to quit music for good, the ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ hitmaker plans to go out on a high", just like recently-retired basketball legend Kobe Bryant.
He told ‘Access Hollywood’: "For me it’s like Kobe. I wanna finish on top."
But for now, the music mogul is having a great time preparing for the Bad Boy Family reunion tour, which kicks off next month following a handful of recent shows in New York.
He added: "Right now I’ve got some business to take care of, we’re working on a new album, we’ve got this tour, I’m having a ball, we’re selling out."
The first reunion show took place on May 20, which would have been the late Notorious B.I.G’s 44th birthday.
Speaking ahead of the gig, Puff had proclaimed: "This isn’t just another concert – this is hip hop history.
"The Bad Boy Family includes some of the biggest names in music and songs that helped define a whole generation of music. Also, we are celebrating one of the greatest of all time – Notorious B.I.G. This will be a night to remember."
