Professor Stephen Hawking was laid to rest in a ceremony attended by the likes of Eddie Redmayne, Brian May, and Lily Cole.
The world renowned physicist passed away in March at the age of 76 following a long battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) – also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease – which confined him to a wheelchair and left him unable to speak except through a voice synthesiser.
