Princess Charlotte to get special Canadian treatment

Princess Charlotte is set to get the special treatment when she embarks on her first foreign trip later this week.
The 16-month-old royal will join her mother and father the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and her brother George, three, on their week-long tour of Canada, and officials are determined to make it a trip to remember by building her a lavish soft-toy nursery at the country’s Government House.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Charlotte won’t be the only one to have the special service as Canada’s Prime Minister Justin P J Trudeaus and his wife Sophie Grégoire have also arranged a meal plan for the youngsters.
The royal family will touch down in Victoria, British Columbia, on September 24 and the children will be introduced to their nanny Maria Borrallo while their parents carry out duties.
Catherine and William – who got married in 2011 – are expected to complete more than 30 royal engagements during their week-long trip; including a visit to the majestic Great Bear Rainforest, a stop off at the immigration Services Society to meet Syrian refugees, and they’ll even get chance to ride in a floatplane, steer a canoe and do some fishing.
A spokesman for the family said they are "delighted" with the programme that has been put together for the tour.
The statement said: "They cannot wait to get to Canada and start learning about new parts of a country that will play such an important part of their lives for many years to come."
William and Catherine, who are both 34, announced they were planning a trip to Canada earlier this month.
