Britain’s Princess Beatrice represented the royal family at a fundraiser for London’s new Garden Bridge last night (10.06.15).
The 26-year-old royal joined celebrities including ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ actress Joanna Lumley and Virgin founder Richard Branson at the event in the Georgian Restaurant in Harrods.
The restaurant was transformed into an enchanted garden for the night and saw guests including Beatrice treated to a performance from ‘Say You Love Me’ singer Jessie Ware.
The fundraiser included a silent auction to raise money for the controversial new Garden Bridge which is inspired by the actress and campaigner Joanna and is intended to connect south and central London between South Bank and Temple.
Speaking about the project in the past, the 69-year-old star said it would "provide a quick and beautiful route for commuters [and] for dreamers a quiet place to linger among trees and grassed to look at the views".
Also in attendance at the event was Thomas Heatherwick, who has designed the initial plan for the bridge alongside Boris Johnson.
