Britain’s Prince William is to attend his ex-girlfriend’s wedding.
The 33-year-old royal will miss Easter with his wife Duchess Catherine, whom he married in 2011, and two children George, two, and Charlotte, 10 months, in order to watch his former lover Jessica Craig get hitched in Kenya this weekend.
Kensington Palace announced that the Prince will be heading to Africa for a four-day trip to visit the wildlife reserve where he got engaged to Catherine, as well as have a brief official meeting with Kenya’s president Uluru Kenyatta.
The Duke, who is President of United For Wildlife, will also see some of the conversation and anti-poaching initiatives set up in Kenya, which are supported by Tusk Trust, as well spend time with the rangers to learn about their work protecting one of Africa’s significant rhino populations.
Meanwhile, William’s decision to attend Jessica’s wedding won’t come as too much of a surprise to his wife Catherine as the pair have remained close since they ended their romance.
The royal even decided to attend Jessica’s brother’s wedding in 2008 rather than that of his cousin Peter Phillips.
