Prince William attends cyberbullying meeting

Prince William has put further plans together for the Royal Foundation Taskforce on the Prevention of Cyberbullying.
The Duke of Cambridge – who launched the group in April – attended the foundation’s second ever meeting today (14.09.16) to work on further steps to try to combat online bullying.
A post on the Kensington Palace Twitter account read: "This morning The Duke attended the 2nd meeting of The Royal Foundation Taskforce on the Prevention of Cyberbullying."
He previously has asked tech entrepreneur Brent Hoberman to chair the foundation, which aims to develop an industry-wide response to the online bullying of young people, and the pair are keen to work together to make the internet a safer place.
A spokesperson for William – who has three-year-old son Prince George and 16-month-old daughter Princess Charlotte with Duchess Catherine – said at the time: "This is an issue that the duke feels strongly about.
"He knows that social media and other technologies are creating significant positive opportunities for millions of young people.
"But as a parent, he knows that many people worry about how to protect their children from the new avenues for bullying that technology is creating.
"He hopes the taskforce can help the industry share the best practice that is emerging across the sector and put in place new standards so that the internet remains something young people and their parents can embrace with confidence."
The foundation will particularly focus on the online bullying of 12 to 14 year olds, and aims to try to combat the horrific internet-based abuse by bringing industry partners together.
Brent added: "This Taskforce will bring together the commitment, talent and expertise of the technology industry to tackle Cyberbullying and the terrible effect it has on children.
"The future of our children is inextricably linked with the Internet. It is our responsibility to ensure that they grow up confident and happy online so that they can make the most of the extraordinary potential it offers."
