Cannes Film Festival are planning to honour Prince.
The film festival – which is held in the French town in May – is planning a tribute to the late star following his tragic death on Thursday (21.04.16).
A representative confirmed: "There will be a tribute to Prince, but [we have] no more information right now."
Meanwhile, those closest to the ‘Raspberry Beret’ hitmaker are planning their own personal tributes to the singer.
Prince’s ex-wife Manuela Testolini is building a school in his memory and said of her plans: "I just reached out to [Prince] a few days ago to let him know that I was building a school in his honour. My heart aches that the school will now be built in his memory … Prince and I had a magical journey together and I loved him immensely. I knew him as a husband, friend and fierce philanthropist. Philanthropy brought us together and it was Prince that encouraged me to start my own charity over 10 years ago."
Cannes Film Festival will begin on 11 May and run until the 22 May.
