Prince and his band 3RDEYEGIRL release their new single ‘PRETZELBODYLOGIC’ today (03.01.14).

The surprise announcement from the ‘Purple Rain’ hitmaker and his all-female band follows the news they will head to London this week to perform at a number of "iconic venues".

Dates and ticket details are yet to be announced for the eagerly-anticipated gigs but the musician will host a press conference at in the living room of singer Lianne La Havas to kick off his ‘Hit and Run’ tour.

The 24-year-old singer met Prince last year during her tour of America and afterwards they jammed together at his Paisley Park Studios in Minneapolis.

3RDEYEGIRL, featuring guitarist Donna Grantis, bassist Ida Nielsen and drummer Hannah Ford Welton, are Prince’s new multi-national all-girl rock trio.

The group’s debut performance on ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’ early last year was followed by concerts in Montreux, Sweden, Denmark, Portugal, Amsterdam, and a number of US cities, including a multi-night residency at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut with Prince’s larger New Power Generation band.

Between performances they spent time at Paisley Park where they recorded the album ‘PLECTRUMELECTRUM’, which will be released later this year.
