Prince Philip is Britain’s ‘own James Bond’

Prince Philip is Britain’s "own James Bond".
The 95-year-old royal – who is the Queen’s husband – has been likened to the fictional secret spy character in the ‘James Bond’ franchise because he is quick witted, has an unbelievable great memory and an "extraordinary" stamina, according to Phillip Schofield.
Speaking about The Duke of Edinburgh, the ITV ‘This Morning’ co-host said: "He has a razor sharp sense of humour, he has a memory like I can’t believe, his stamina is extraordinary, he is like if we had our own James Bond. He was a Commander in the Navy when he was a younger guy, obviously a very attractive guy."
Phillip has also credited the monarch’s spouse – who has been married to the Queen for almost 70 years – as being the 90-year-old royals "right hand man" and her "rock".
He continued: "He is the Queen’s right hand man, he is her rock, he’s her foundation and her massive support. He is a man in his own right who has his own interests and passions, which even now at 95 he devours and is fascinated by."
And the television presenter has hinted the war veteran – who has children Prince Charles, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward as well as Princess Anne – is modest as he doesn’t talk about himself.
He explained: "He doesn’t give interviews and he doesn’t talk about himself."
And Philip has revealed the down to earth and humble member of the Royal Family was exactly what he imagined him to be like, and "beyond".
When asked by ‘The One Show’ hosts Matt Baker and Alex Jones whether Philip lived up to his expectations, Phillip said: "Beyond.
"He is what I expected him to be."
