Prince Philip is a "remarkable man", according to Phillip Schofield.
The 95-year-old royal has been credited as an incredible being by ITV’s ‘This Morning’ co-host who followed the Duke Of Edinburgh around for one year to create the forthcoming show ’60 Years of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award’, which will air on Monday (12.12.16).
Speaking about Philip on BBC One’s ‘The One Show’ on Thursday (08.12.16, the silverfox said: "He is a remarkable man. He is 95 years old."
Although the television personality has met the monarch’s husband in the past at various award ceremonies, he has revealed he is more in awe of him because he has witnessed his ability to put people at "ease" with his "risqué" and "inappropriate" remarks.
Phillip explained: "I have met him a couple of times before at awards ceremonies for the D of E [Duke of Edinburgh] and he walks into a room and has a group of youngsters who are all there to get their gold awards, and their shoulders are up because they’re all nervous, and he walks into the room and says something funny, probably a bit risqué, probably a bit inappropriate. And they will all burst out laughing.
"And it is normally said, I think, to put people at ease."
And Phillip has revealed all of these little moments from the past year feature in the ITV programme, which leaves the audience and onlookers curious as to what Philip – who has sons Prince Charles, Prince Edward and Prince Andrew, and daughter Princess Anne with the Queen – said.
Phillip explained: "And you see all of them moments, where you think ‘What has he said there?’"
