Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend has signed up to the new series of ‘Love Island’.
The popular dating show will return to screens next week for a seven-week run and it looks set to get the royal treatment as the 32-year-old hunk’s former flame Camilla Thurlow –
who enjoyed a brief fling with the prince three years ago – has agreed to jet out to the villa.
But Camilla – who is the former Miss Edinburgh – isn’t the only person who has history with Harry on the programme as Caroline Flack, who has presented the series since it first hit television screens in 2015, has also agreed to return to her hosting duties this time around.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "It’s quite unique to have two ex-girlfriend of a prince on one show."
However, it’s unlikely that the pair will come to blows as Caroline – who met Harry at a party in 2009 – has admitted she instantly feels protective over all of the contestants.
She said when asked if she gets protective: "Yes both the boys and the girls. Obviously with Zara [Holland] last year, because she had no voice because she didn’t know what had happened I felt like I could be her voice for her."
Meanwhile, Camilla may have had a taste of royalty but she’s admitted she’s now on the hunt for a down to earth man after spending the past four years on her own.
She explained: "I’m still young but I’m definitely at the age now where a lot of my friends are starting to settle down. I also want to put my personal life first, for the first time in a long time, and give myself the opportunity to meet someone.
"It will also force me to break down some of the barriers that I have built up doing the work that I do. I can be a bit cold, and come across that way, but that’s because I’m quite independent and strong. A huge part of it is pushing myself out of my comfort zone and forcing myself to make a connection with someone."
‘Love Island returns to screens on June 5 at 9pm on ITV2.
