Prince Harry has been proposed to – but not by Meghan Markle.
The 33-year-old royal, who has been dating the ‘Suits’ star for more than a year, had the question popped to him by an eager fan during a visit to Toronto’s CN Tower.
Harry supporter Maurie Sherman, a producer on Canada’s KiSS 92.5 radio station, shouted: "Harry! Harry! I would leave my husband for you!"
The flame-haired royal seemed a bit taken aback by the proposal and replied: "Sorry?"
He then shook Maurie – who is married to publicist Matthew Almeida – by the hand.
Harry didn’t comment on the question, but the radio producer continued to ply the prince with his affection, adding: "You’re gorgeous, you’re gorgeous."
Maurie later joked on Twitter that his partner could visit him in a "castle" in response to a fan who asked how his hubby was feeling about it.
He wrote: "Well @MattyHBF can visit me ok then castle (sic)"
Later in the day, Harry made a speech in which he thanked the competitors of the Invictus Games – which he is in Toronto to watch – and praised them as "role models".
He said: "It is unbelievable to see the journey that everyone has been through and I cannot stress this enough to everybody to get out there, meet these guys, listen to their stories and in some cases learn from them.
"I’ve been banging on about this … but these are the role models I think we need in society.
"The younger kids and the younger generation to look up to people like this, and to have a better understanding of what service and duty is all about."
