Britain’s Prince Harry introduces girlfriends who "mean something" to the Duchess of Cambridge.
The 31-year-old royal – who reportedly locked lips with pop star Ellie Goulding at the Audi Polo Challenge recently – romanced Chelsy Davy for five years and Cressida Bonas in 2014 and both women met his sister-in-law because he saw a future in each relationship.
Royal expert Ingrid Seward, editor in chief of Majesty Magazine, told The Daily Mirror newspaper: "I know that he introduces Kate to all his girlfriends who mean something to him. She was friendly with Chelsy and Cressie."
The flame-haired royal is said to be sympathetic to the 34-year-old Duchess, who is married to his 33-year-old brother Prince William, because she wasn’t born into the royal family but is managing her role very well.
Ingrid added: "Harry is very sensitive to the fact that Kate had to come into this role and wasn’t born into it… He empathises with Kate and what she is going through. We know it is not as easy for her as it looks. She finds it quite difficult although she would never let on as she is too much of a pro. Kate and Harry giggle about silly things together and he is very gentle with her."
And he once referred to her as "the sister" he’s never had and is delighted to have her in the family.
Prince Harry said previously: "To have a big sister is very, very nice. I’ve got to know Catherine pretty well, but now that she’s becoming part of the family, I’m really looking forward to getting her under my wing – or she’ll be taking me under her wing probably."
