Prince Charles poses for selfie

Britain’s Prince Charles has posed for a selfie.

Bold teenager Joseph Wilson snapped a picture with the heir to the throne this morning (19.03.14) as Charles, 65, and his wife Duchess Camilla, 66, visited the town of Yalding in Kent, which was badly hit by flooding last Christmas.

The 17 year old was invited to meet the royals after he and his sister helped rescue stranded flood victims in their canoe.

Joseph told the Kent and Sussex Courier newspaper: "I just asked Prince Charles for a selfie and he let me. I have added it to my David Cameron one which I got when he was down here.

"It’s great that so many famous people and royals are coming down to Yalding."

In addition to meeting audacious Joseph, Camilla was presented with flowers and poems by local schoolchildren who were affected by the flooding on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Yalding Primary School headteacher Dorinda Perry said: "We could not bring all the schoolchildren down but we have brought children who were flooded at Christmas and many of them are still homeless.

"The children presented Camilla with a bouquet of flowers. One girl gave her flowers from her flooded garden and others gave them poems which they had written."
