Dermot O’Leary plans to eat sausages all day to get over the BRIT Awards.
The 43-year-old hunk co-hosted the glitzy music event held at The O2 arena in London on Wednesday (22.02.17) with Emma Willis and after overseeing a night that featured incredible performances from Katy Perry, The 1975, Bruno Mars, Little Mix and a touching George Michael tribute by Chris Martin Dermot has plans to rejuvenate with a plate of pork treats on Thursday (23.02.17).
Taking to his Twitter account, he posted: "Many thanks for the kind messages re: @BRITs Huge deal to host it, with lovely @EmmaWillis Today … I shall mostly be eating sausages… (sic)"
Dermot and Emma received universal praise for their handling of proceedings at the ceremony, which was broadcast live on ITV.
The ‘X Factor’ host logged into his Instagram account to pay tribute ‘The Voice’ presenter Emma, 40, and original host Michael Buble who had to pull out of the BRITs to care for his son Noah who is battling cancer.
Dermot posted on Instagram: "Just about coming to from last night. Huge deal for me to host @brits with the excellent human that is @emmawillisofficial thanks to all involved. And big love to @michaelbuble (sic)"
During the live show, Dermot and Emma hinted that ‘Haven’t Met You Yet’ hitmaker Michael could present the 2018 BRIT Awards.
Addressing the audience, he said: "While Emma and I are so happy to be your hosts, we would much rather be down there in the audience, watching Michael Buble up here."
Emma added: "We so wish he could have been with us this evening and everyone here at the BRITs send our love and fingers crossed he will be here next year."
