Pixies have announced a UK and European tour for 2025 and have also shared their new single ‘Motoroller’.
The rockers will kick off the tour in Utrecht, Netherlands on April 25 and will also perform in Belgium, Germany, France, Spain and Portugal before playing their first UK show in Aberdeen on May 13.
The UK tour features nine dates around the country, including a night at O2 Academy Edinburgh and two nights at London’s O2 Brixton Academy as well as performances in Leeds, Birmingham and Manchester.
The announcement comes after the ‘Where Is My Mind’ band – comprised of frontman Black Francis, Joey Santiago, David Lovering and Emma Richardson – wowed fans at London’s All Points East festival last month with a performance that was hailed as “raucous”.
Pixies have also announced the brand new single ‘Motoroller’ – which will feature on their upcoming album ‘The Night The Zombies Came’ – a track that follows Francis on a scooter ride across Berlin.
He said of the song: “This is one of those kinds of songs where there’s little threads you can follow and they take you somewhere. But they’re not required for the experience.
“You can just start fishing around in the lyrics, and maybe you won’t find exactly what the story is, but you’ll find a story related to the city of Berlin. So just have fun with the clues that are there.”
