Pink and Jay Z to headline V Festival 2017

Pink and Jay Z are to headline V Festival 2017.
The ‘Just Like Fire’ pop beauty will be joined by Rudimental, Craig David and Jess Glynne at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex on August 19 and Weston Park in Staffordshire on August 20 with the likes of Ellie Goulding, Jason Derulo, Madness, Clean Bandit, Sean Paul and James Arthur all performing across the August Bank Holiday weekend.
‘Encore’ rapper Jay Z – who is preparing for the birth of twins with his wife Beyonce – will head up the main stage at Weston Park on August 19 and Hylands Park on August 20.
Other confirmed performers include, Dizzee Rascal, Gorgon City, Anne-Marie, Jonas Blue, Sigma Liva, The Vamps, Calum Scott, JP Cooper, Jack Savoretti, Scouting For Girls, Krept & Konan, Busted, Hannah Wants and Raye.
Last year saw Rihanna and Justin Bieber headline the festival.
The latter was accused of miming by his fans and took to the stage hungover.
He told the crowd at Chelmsford: "’I’m a little hungover, I’m not gonna lie. You guys don’t like to fake anything in the UK, which I respect."
Several fans blasted Bieber on social media, but rising rock band The Scheme defended his lip-synching.
The pop rock group – comprised of Kyle Carpenter, Kristofer James and Aleksey Lopez – think the ‘Sorry’ star is a "wicked" singer and thought it was acceptable for him to use a backing track when he was doing intense dance routines at the same time because otherwise it would have been like "running a marathon".
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, they said at the time: "Most of the times I’ve seen him he’s sung live and I think he is a wicked singer. We will do shows and people asks if we want to mime it or are you comfortable with performing live and we are always very much live as much as possible.
"I hadn’t heard that about Bieber. If that is the case that is interesting that he would do that because he’s a wicked singer.
"If you are going to be jumping up and down and dancing as much he does I guess you want to take a break, it would be like running a marathon on stage."
Tickets go on sale on March 3 from 9am.
