Piers Morgan chows down on four breakfasts before 10am.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ co-host shovels several morning meals into his stomach early doors because he is so hungry after waking up at the crack of dawn to co-present the breakfast show, and despite his early eating he is still peckish in the evening so he downs wine and consumes cheese.
He said: "There’s never been any surgery here, no Botox. This is the real me.
"The morning show is an absolute killer. You have to get out of bed at a ridiculous hour.
"You normally have about four breakfasts before 10 o’clock because you’re starving all morning.
"You’re rifling stuff away. You’re then too exhausted to work out, you can’t do anything, so you end up just guzzling wine and cheese."
Piers recently took a break from ‘GMB’ to head to Los Angeles for a romantic holiday with his wife Celia Walden, and he enjoyed scoffing "as much" wine and cheese as he could manage because he was able to work out in sunny California.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, he added: "I went to LA for three-and-a-half weeks and suddenly I’m not getting out of bed too early, I get up and look at palm trees in 75-degree heat, I have a 30-length swim and do a bit of spinning on my spinning bike, and then go for a walk in Beverly Hills.
"And you can eat as much cheese and drink as much wine as you like because then you’re a lean, mean machine."
Piers got a shock on the morning show when Celia appeared on the phone, and joked she thinks the reason her hubby is looking so wrinkle-free at the moment is because his ego is "plumping" out his skin.
She said: "I have a theory about Piers’ freakishly smooth forehead and that’s that his ego is so large it’s actually pushing outwards and plumping out the skin from within.
"I have yet to get a dermatologist to substantiate this but I’m pretty sure that’s what is going on."
