Phyllis Logan has no idea if Downton Abbey movie is happening

Phyllis Logan has claimed she has no idea if a ‘Downton Abbey’ film is in the pipeline.
The actress – who played Elsie Hughes, later Mrs. Carson on the hugely popular show – has insisted she hasn’t been told if the ITV period drama is making a move to the big screen.
Asked about the possibility on ‘Loose Women’ on Monday (05.02.18), she said: "I feel so bad because as much I’d love to say yeah we start shooting next week, I cannot say that. Get in touch with the producers for god sake and ask them."
Although the panel tried to goad her into revealing anything about the possibility of a film, she wasn’t willing to budge.
She added: "You probably know as much as I do."
It follows reports that Highclere Castle – the location for the show’s shoots – has been booked for August for a rumoured shoot, although it’s said not all cast members have signed on to return to their roles.
When the panel told her the reports, she replied: "Is that right? Thank you for that!"
Last year, Hugh Bonneville – who played Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham – played down the idea of a big screen adaptation of ‘Downton’.
He said at the time: "There is no script that I have read, so I think it is hugely unlikely. But of course I would love to do it."
