Peter Andre: ‘Harvey taught me how to be a dad’

Peter Andre says his stepson Harvey taught him how to be a dad.
The 44-year-old star helped raise Harvey, 15, during his marriage to Katie Prince, which ended in 2009 and although Katie has claimed he no longer sees her son, Peter says Harvey showed him what fatherhood was all about.
He told Sydney’s KIIS FM: "The first child that taught me how to be a dad was Harvey."
Harvey doesn’t have a relationship with his biological father Dwight Yorke and Katie previously claimed Peter no longer sees Harvey since they split.
She said: "When you divorce you have to share the kids, but with Harvey there is no one.’
"Look, Dwight (doesn’t) want to know… someone else doesn’t see him anymore – he’s just got me."
Meanwhile, Peter also revealed he is quite a strict dad to his other children, Junior, 11 and Princess, nine, with Katie, 39, and Amelia, three, and seven-month-old Theo with wife Emily MacDonagh.
He said: "(Junior is) a very polite boy, I’m a bit too strict on him unfortunately. But I think that being strict on them will pay off in the long run.
"I mean, they roll their eyes at me all the time, telling them to have manners and to be respectful to people and all those sort of things.
"But my dad was super strict with me so I don’t regret doing any of those things."
