Pete Wicks supporting Megan McKenna after Mike Thalassitis’ death

Pete Wicks is supporting his ex-girlfriend Megan McKenna following Mike Thalassitis’ death.
The 30-year-old reality star has insisted he is "there" for Megan, 26, as she grieves her former partner Mike – whose body was found in woodland near his Essex home earlier this month after tragically took his own life at the age of 26.
Megan – who dated Pete on-and-off for two-and-a-half years – dated the ‘Love Island’ star for seven months and previously admitted she is "in shock" over his passing.
Speaking to the Mirror website, Pete said: "It’s a really tragic thing and I feel for Mike’s family and friends. It’s been a big shock to everyone but especially Megan given their history. Everyone always saw me and Megan as being a nightmare and toxic, which in a relationship we were. But she’s a lovely person. I might not be the best boyfriend but I’m a good friend. Whatever she needs, I’m there."
The ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star went on to insist that reality shows have a responsibility to ensure the wellbeing of former stars, and thinks producers should "asses the risks" when they select individuals to appear on their television shows.
The ‘Celebs Go Dating’ hunk explained: "Irrespective of whether you’re on telly or not every workplace has got a duty to ensure that people are in a good place – wellbeing should be a priority.
"Before you enter into certain things you have to assess the risks, if you become an electrician what are the risks? Likewise, if you go into reality TV what are the risks? What we do is a job, people forget that. I think people need to assess whether they can deal with the pressures that come with it. I think that it is a duty on any organisation that is putting people in the position of making them famous overnight, that they should also look after them afterwards."
