Pete Wicks has questioned James Lock’s decision to reunite with Yazmin Oukhellou, predicting he has a "50/50" chance of staying with her.
The 31-year-old reality star insisted that while he will "support" his 33-year-old pal, he has doubts about their relationship lasting because he believes James and Yazmin are a "dangerous combination".
Pete told The Sun Online: "He is my best mate and if he is happy I will support him no matter what. But do I think it’s the right decision? Honestly, probably not.
"I would say it’s about 50/50 if they are still together by the end of the series. I think they are a dangerous combination and I just hope it doesn’t end as toxic and disastrous as it did last time."
The couple split in August 2019 after spending two years together, but declared their love for one another in July and rekindled their romance.
While Pete thinks there is "love" between the two, if they break up again he thinks they should "move on".
He continued: "If it goes down the same path they need to cut their losses and move on.
"Having said that there is clearly still a lot of love there after all they have been through so then maybe it is worth fighting for one last time."
But the ‘TOWIE’ star knows how much harder it is to keep a spark going while filming a television show together.
He said: "It will be much more difficult now the show is on TV. It depends whether they can forget about the past. If they are going to make it work they need to completely wipe the slate clean and start a fresh but that’s a lot easier said than done.
"If they can’t do that it will be a disaster for everyone on the show but them mainly. They also need to take it slow and just start dating again. They can’t just jump into their old relationship like before because that didn’t work so if you’re not both prepared to do it differently don’t do it at all."
