Pete Wicks’ new girlfriend has joined ‘The Only Way is Essex’.
The heavily-inked hunk has only been on a few dates with Shelby Tribble following his split from Megan McKenna last year, but it looks like things are getting serious between them as she is set to join the new series of the ITVBe show next week.
A source told The Sun Online: "Shelby is absolutely gorgeous and fits in perfectly with the cast. She’s already very well-known on the Essex scene after living there for years – but is originally from Plymouth. Shelby made a name for herself after winning Miss Great Britain in 2014 before she briefly dated footballer Danny [Simpson] last year. But in recent weeks she’s been getting close to Pete and mutual pals of the pair predict their romance will be filmed for the new series."
Her signing comes just weeks after bosses said they were planning to hire a new bunch of fresh faces and get rid of some of the old cast as part of a shake-up.
A source said recently: "Everyone’s expecting them to be big new characters and there will no doubt be some excitement among TOWIE’s single ladies."
Pete, 29, was left heartbroken last year when his on/off relationship with the ‘A Far Cry From Love’ hitmaker broke down following allegations that she had been back in touch with her ex-boyfriend while she was still dating the handsome reality TV star.
But, although only a few months have passed since their separation, Megan, 25, is now said to be dating Love Island’s Michael ‘Muggy Mike’ Thalassitis after he whisked her off to Amsterdam, The Netherlands, for Valentine’s Day (14.02.18).
However, news that Pete’s new girlfriend will be making an appearance on screen will no doubt still strike a nerve with Megan as they dated for such a long time on and off.
