Pete Bennett ‘happy’ Big Brother has ended after ‘outcast’ claims

Pete Bennett is "happy" ‘Big Brother’ has ended after claiming the show made him feel "like a bit of an outcast".
The 36-year-old star shot to fame in 2006 when he won the seventh series of the reality show – which came to an end on Monday night (05.11.18) after being shelved by Channel 5 – and while he is pleased to have done "his part" on the programme, he is also glad it is over.
Pete – who has Tourette syndrome – wrote on Instagram: "End of an era or beginning of a new chapter? To be honest I’m happy it’s ending. I did my part and showed others how to love themselves for who they are through the vein of the country. I also managed to ‘make Tourettes cool’ and that changed a lot of kids lives. Helping them accept who they are for being different. Gave 450 grand to Tourettes Syndrome Association, which helped them build Tourettes camps. Since then I have felt like a bit of an outcast by Big Brother, which always made me feel sad…but I’ll never stop flying the flag of individuality. (sic)"
Pete accompanied his post with a clip of his VT from series seven of the reality show, and advised his fans to be themselves in life.
He added: "God loves a character! Be exactly who you are on the inside or you will have never truly lived. You are only here once, so sod the plastics… in the words of my best friend Wobbly Bob EeeZaMaNaa! R.I.P Wobbly Bob . So long #BigBrother! W*****S #bbuk

Pete starred in the same ‘Big Brother’ series as Nikki Grahame, who admitted this week she is hoping another TV channel purchases the show so it can continue.
She said: "I’m hoping someone else buys it … I’ve only had positive things to say about that show.
"It changed my life for the better and I’m so grateful to ‘Big Brother’.
"You hear people saying, ‘Oh I stopped watching it years ago.’ I’ve watched every single series. To have been a part of it was just a dream come true."
