Pernille Broch is leaving ‘EastEnders’.
The Norwegian actress is to depart her role as Jack Branning’s (Scott Maslen) au pair Ingrid Solberg next week when her character leaves Walford to go travelling around the globe.
Keanu Taylor – played by Danny Walters – looks set to be gutted by his girlfriend’s decision to flee the East End, and Ingrid herself is in two minds as it means leaving Jack’s kids Amy and Ricky behind.
But her decision comes after a sleazy E20 clubber makes a move on her.
Fortunately for the blonde beauty, Jack intervenes, but the entrepreneur hurts his hand in the process, so Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) steps in to help him out.
Ingrid’s exit won’t come as much of a surprise for die-hard fans, as some supporters have been questioning her whereabouts in recent weeks, with Jack’s nanny not appearing on screen much of late.
Ingrid first stepped foot in Albert Square in June 2017 when she was handed the job as Jack’s au pair to look after Amy and Ricky following the tragic passing of his wife Ronnie Mitchell (Sam Womack) and her sister Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons), who was Amy’s mum.
It could’ve been different for Ingrid as she and Jack kissed just a few months after she arrived in Albert Square, but the pair decided not to pursue any romantic interests any further.
Last month, ‘EastEnders’ fans were left unsure about the status of Keanu and Ingrid’s relationship when she hadn’t been seen on screen for a while.
But the pair were caught in act on the sofa in the Taylor residence, leaving the mechanic’s mouthy mum Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) fuming.
She shouted: "You think it’s OK to be prancing around half-naked, giving the boys ideas that their brains aren’t ready for yet?"
