Paul Weller, Primal Scream and Kneecap are set to perform at the ‘Gig For Gaza’.
The trio are amongst the acts who will be taking to the stage at the charity show that will take place at the O2 Academy Brixton in London on December 13 to raise funds for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The former Jam frontman has curated the line-up for the gig, which also includes Liam Bailey and more artists who will be announced in the coming weeks.
All proceeds from the show will go directly to MAP (Medical Aid For Palestinians) and Gaza Forever. Both charities provide essential aid – including food, medical supplies and emergency shelter – for those caught up in the conflict in Gaza.
The concert will also feature guest speakers and short films and promises to bring together “some extraordinary talent to raise much-needed funds and awareness” amid the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The artwork for the show has been designed by Robert Del Naja of Massive Attack who have consistently used their platform to call for an end to the brutal occupation and oppression of the Palestinian people.
A description for the event reads: “This is an opportunity to enjoy a night of powerful music, and make a tangible difference in the lives of people facing unimaginable hardship. Every ticket and donation counts.”
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (15.11.24).
