Paul Walker’s mother has thanked fans for their support.
The actor was just 40 when he died in a car accident in 2013 and as the third anniversary of his death approaches on November 30, his mother Cheryl thanked fans in a video during a fundraiser for his Reach Out Worldwide charity over the weekend.
She said: "I want to say thank you to all of you for all of your support.
"My son lives on in all of you. It makes his work continue here on Earth and I know he’s watching over us."
Paul’s younger brother Cody, 28, also said that the charity helps to keep Paul’s memory alive.
He explained: "It’s a bit of Paul that we still have. We all miss him, we love him and we’re all here to support him."
Cody and his brother Caleb, 38, stepped in to help finish ‘Furious 7’ when Paul died during production and they recently revealed that working on the movie helped them to understand their sibling better.
Caleb explained: "We got to understand more about Paul, and what he was all about. We had to share Paul with a lot of people, in a weird way. He was gone a lot, he was filming, so we missed him. Sometimes at the holidays he wasn’t always there, you know? He tried. We’d see him on set, we visited a few times, but to kind of get that closure, and understanding [of] Paul was really special.
"We had a really good talk with Vin [Diesel]. Vin is like the godfather, he really is, and he kind of became our godfather in a weird way. He obviously knew Paul so well, he shared things with us that Cody and I [didn’t know.]
"Paul kept a lot of things about work kind of quiet with his family and friends, and so we were able to learn some things through [his co-stars]."
