Paul Dano is to make his directional debut with indie flick ‘Wildlife’.
The ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ star is going to be responsible for bringing Richard Ford’s 1990 novel of the same name to life on the big screen and he has co-written the script from the tome with his long-term partner Zoe Kazan.
The story focuses on the life of a teenage boy who watches his parents’ marriage fall apart after the family moves to Montana.
Dano, 32, will also act as executive producer along with Alex Saks for June Pictures.
Neither Dano or Kazan are expected to be acting in the feature,
The couple – who have been in a relationship together since 2007 – first worked together on 2012’s ‘Ruby Sparks’ which was directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris from a script by Kazan, and followed an nervous novelist (Dano) whose fictional character, Ruby Sparks, (Kazan) is brought to life.
Dano is soon to be seen in ‘Okja’ a South Korean-American action-adventure movie directed by Bong Joon Ho and also starring Ahn Seo-hyun, Tilda Swinton and Jake Gyllenhaal.
Kazan is next appearing in the romantic comedy ‘The Big Sick’ alongside Nanjiani, Ray Romano and Holly Hunter.
