Paul Chuckle has paid a glowing tribute to his brother Jimmy Patton following his death.
The 71-year-old actor has heaped praise on his late brother, whom he starred alongside on their BBC comedy series ‘ChuckleVision’, which also featured their late sibling Barry, who died of bone cancer in 2018.
In a statement, Paul said: "I just thought I’d let you know that the Chuckle Brothers older Brother Jimmy Patton has sadly passed away.
"Jimmy was a big part of ChuckleVision and the stage shows where he played the character No Slacking.
"RIP Jim Lad. And No Slacking. (sic)"
News of Jimmy’s death comes shortly after Paul revealed that comedy has helped him to cope with the death of his brother Barry.
The TV comedy star admitted he’s relied on laughter to get him through the heartbreak of losing Barry to cancer.
He shared: "When you lose someone who is close to you, it physically hurts inside.
"It really hurts. I still miss Barry terribly. I’ve had a lot of loss in my life.
"I’ve lost my mum and dad, my only sister, and in 1974 I lost my three-month-old daughter. You don’t get used to it.
"But you can’t hold it in. You’ve got to let it out of you. You’ve got to cry. You’ve got to talk to people. And, later on, you have to have a laugh and a joke and remember the good times."
