Paul Bettany will star as the Vision in ‘The Avengers: Age Of Ultron’.
The 42-year-old actor will join an all-star cast which includes Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth’s (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk) and Chris Evans (Captain America) in the the forthcoming sequel to 2012’s hit film ‘The Avengers’.
According to the Mail Online, Bettany and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) were spotted meeting with director Joss Whedon at Shepperton Studios, near London this week.
Bettany had a number of costume, hair and make-up tests in a bid to emulate the Vision’s extremely pale complexion.
He previously voiced J.A.R.V.I.S. which is Tony Stark’s artificially intelligent computer in Marvel’s ‘The Avengers’, and also voiced him in the three ‘Iron Man’ films.
Bettany – who was catapulted to the spotlight in 2000’s ‘Gangster No. 1’ – has been cast in ‘Transcendence’ which is in post production and is filming David Koepp’s ‘Mortdecai’.
Filming for ‘The Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ is set to begin in the UK and South Africa next month and it is due for release in May 2015.
