Paris Jackson to appear in Star

Paris Jackson has been offered a role in ‘Star’.
The 18-year-old daughter of the late music icon Michael Jackson will make her acting debut on the American drama series created by filmmaker Lee Daniels, TMZ.com has reported.
According to the publication, Paris met with Daniels last week for a screen test and after a successful reading is reportedly "already in Atlanta filming" the ‘Empire’ spin-off show.
TMZ also claims it is "unclear how big the role is or how many episodes she’ll be shooting."
Paris’ acting dreams come after she said during an appearance on the ‘Ellen Degeneres Show’ in 2011 that she aspired to be like her late father, who starred in a number of movies.
She said at the time: "When I was really little. My dad was in the movie, ‘Moonwalker’, and I knew he could sing really well but I didn’t know he could act.
"I saw that and I said, ‘Wow, I want to be just like him.’"
And Paris – whose mother is Debbie Rowe – looks set to start conquering Hollywood as she has also been approached by a number of modelling agencies, as well as several high-profile brands who feel she is the ideal candidate to become the face of their products.
This comes shortly after Paris thanked Sky for scrapping an "insulting" TV show about her late father.
The British broadcaster decided against airing an episode of the series ‘Urban Myths’ featuring Michael, Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando after concerns were raised by Paris over the decision to cast Joseph Fiennes, a white British man, as Michael.
She tweeted: "I’m surprised the family’s feelings were actually taken into consideration for once, we all really do appreciate it more than y’all know. (sic)"
