Pamela Anderson has joined the cast of the ‘Baywatch’ movie.
The 48-year-old actress -who played lifeguard C.J. Parker in the original television series from 1992-1997 – has officially signed up to the upcoming film, much to the delight of new co-star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
On Instagram he wrote: "She introduced the world to "CJ Parker" and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation – for the most successful TV show of all time. A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our #BAYWATCH cast. We couldn’t have made this movie without you. Welcome home. Thrilled you had a blast with us! (sic)"
The movie about Californian lifeguards has been scripted by Damian Shannon & Mark Swift, while ‘Horrible Bosses’ film-aker Seth Gordon has taking on directing duties.
The story will see Dwayne be a hero once again, as he plays the role of the lifeguard who has no choice but to team up with a young hunk played by Zac Efron as they work together to protect a Californian beach from environmental destruction caused by an oil tycoon.
The film will be released in May 2017.
