Naomi Campbell accused of bullying Russian model

Naomi Campbell is a bully according to a Russian model who appeared on 'The Face'.
Kira Dikhtyar claims the supermodel was nasty to her from the moment they met filming the fashion show, which she partly blames on the fact Naomi's Russian boyfriend, Vlad Doronin, had recently left her for one of the show's contestants.
She told the New York Post newspaper: "Naomi hates Russians. She's an amazing woman, but it's very hard to work with her. She put all her [negative] energy on me. After filming ended, they sent me to doctors. I'm still recovering. The network is still paying for my psychiatrist."
A friend of Kira's added: "No matter what Kira did, there was no way to please her."
Naomi, 43, has a history of temper problems, and has had numerous charges of assault brought against her by former employees and assistants. In 2008 she pleaded guilty to assaulting two police officers in an incident which also saw her banned for life from travelling with British Airways.
Speaking about the way she handles contestants on 'The Face' last year, she said: "[I give them] tough love. I'm straight up, I'm honest. When my girls do something great, I praise them and pamper them. And when they do something wrong, I'm gonna tell them. I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, because they're not going to get it sugarcoated in the real world."

Justin Theroux visits Philip Seymour Hoffman’s family

Cate Blanchett and Justin Theroux have visited Philip Seymour Hoffman's family.
The actors separately paid visits to see Mimi O'Donnell, the estranged partner of the star - who was found dead at an apartment in New York yesterday (02.02.14) of an apparent drugs overdose - and their children Cooper, 10, Tallulah, seven, and Willa, five.
Justin was a very close friend of Philip and is said to be devastated by his death.
A source told UsMagazine.com: "Justin is totally broken up about losing Phil. He's doing his best to provide some comfort to Mimi and the kids. He can't believe this happened."
Although they didn't make a huge public show of their friendship, Philip had been there for Justin for many years. In 2005 he turned out in support of the actor at the premiere of his movie 'The Baxter' and in 2010 Justin appointed his friend team captain at LAByrinth Theater Company's annual Celebrity Charades benefit.
Meanwhile Australian actress Cate - who worked with Philip on 'The Talented Mr. Ripley' in 1999 - came to Mimi's house brandishing toys for the children.
Mimi had reportedly thrown Philip out of the family home late last year because of his heroin use and urged him to get sober.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "It was known that he was struggling to stay sober, and [Mimi] had given him some tough love and told him he needed some time away from the kids and to get straight again."
The alarm was raised when Philip didn't turn up to collect his children on Sunday. He was found by a friend, David Bar Katz and his personal assistant, Isabella Wing-Davey.

Shawn Pyfrom reveals drug addiction

'Desperate Housewives' Shawn Pyfrom has revealed his battle with drugs and alcohol.
The 27-year-old actor has talked about his battles with addiction in the wake of the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman, who was found dead of an apparent drug overdose in New York yesterday (02.02.14).
Shawn - who played character Marcia Cross' son Andrew Van de Kamp in the TV series - wrote on his Tumblr blog: "I just read the news about mr. philip seymour hoffman, and against the advise of others; i had to write this open letter. i can't stay quiet anymore about this...
"i am an alcoholic and a drug addict. and yesterday i celebrated five months of sobriety. i'm relatively new to being sober, considering the scope of time that i've been an addict.
"My head is still spinning from the news. i even question whether or not i should publish this, as i type out these words. but if these words can encourage someone to hold on to their life... to keep from ever using, or to find the strength to stop; then it's more important that these words are shared.(sic)"
Shawn didn't say exactly what drugs he had been taking, or for how long, but detailed how it had consumed him.
He wrote: "for several years, i lived for drugs. i lived for other things as well. but drugs dictated the other things i lived for. i thought more about using, than i thought about any other "pleasures". i put myself in places i never would have ended up, otherwise, for the sake of getting high. there are countless nights of blacking out, and making poor decisions as a result of my overusing. (sic)"
Shawn added he has felt much better since giving up his vices and now he "wake[s] up looking forward to my days, rather than looking for a way to get through them."

Sofia Vergara unsure of wedding plan

Sofia Vergara can't decide what kind of wedding to have.
The 'Modern Family' star is torn between having a lavish Hollywood bash and an intimate gathering with just close friends and family when she finally weds businessman Nick Loeb.
She said: "We have been engaged for over a year and we still haven't decided what we want to do for our wedding. He's letting me handle things and I'm not sure if I want to do something big like I did for my 40th birthday. It was so much fun but takes a lot of time and planning.
"I haven't made up my mind yet but I can see myself doing something very small and intimate with my closest relatives and friends."
The 41-year-old actress - who has a 21-year-old son, Manolo from her first marriage to Joe Gonzalez - doesn't think getting married aged 18 to her childhood sweetheart was too young and says it was a "relief" to be off the market for two years.
Sofia explained: "I was in love and in my culture getting married at a young age is not so unusual. It was a big relief because you get tired of being always chased by men. After I divorced, being a single mother gave me a lot of motivation to succeed and provide a good life for my son."
The 41-year-old beauty is comfortable with always playing a sex symbol on screen and takes pride in being a woman.
She told Britain's Hello! magazine: "So many people worry about beauty and sexiness being demeaning or denigrating to women. That's so ridiculous. Women can be beautiful and smart and sexy as much as they want. We're created that way. Why hide it or deny it?
"I've never had a problem with playing sexy roles. No one will cast me as a scientist or surgeon, although I trained to be a dentist. We like to be respected and appreciated but we also like to have fun with men and enjoy the romance and excitement that come with love."

David Beckham had movie nights with Cruise

David Beckham used to have movie nights with Tom Cruise.
The 38-year-old hunk recently moved back to England with his wife Victoria and their children, Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 11, Cruz, eight, and two-year-old daughter Harper, but when he lived in Los Angeles he would go round to the actor's house and chill out in front of the television.
He said: "When we were living in LA, Tom cruise lived two minutes away. He's a good friend. There were occasions when I'd call him up and ask him if he had a new movie that wasn't out yet, and I'd go round and watch it with him."
The retired soccer star - who attended the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding in 2011 - has also met Prime Minister David Cameron on a number of occasions, but doesn't think they have a close enough friendship to invite himself round to his house for dinner just yet.
He explained to the Sunday Times magazine: "I've met the prime minister quite a few times. He's a really nice guy, but I'm not sure I could go and invite myself to Number 10 [Downing Street] in the same way. I love living back in London; it's where I was born. But, of course, I haven't lived here for a long time because I was only 15 when I moved up to Manchester."

Jared Leto got gout for Chapter 27

Jared Leto suffered with gout after putting on weight for 'Chapter 27'.
The 42-year-old actor had to gain 67 lbs for his role of Mark Chapman - the deranged fan who assassinated John Lennon - in the 2007 biopic, but he has vowed never to pile on the pounds for a movie again because he doesn't want to put his health in jeopardy.
He told The Guardian newspaper: "Really, it's a stupid thing to do. I got gout, and my cholesterol went up so fast in such a short time that my doctors wanted to put me on Lipitor, which is for much, much older people. Again, though, a fascinating journey.
"I had some reservations because I love everything John Lennon ever did. But in the end I wanted to explore a specimen embodying the total failure of humanity, just walk down this brutal path again."
However, the 30 Seconds To Mars singer - who has been nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance in 'Dallas Buyers Club' - didn't have too much trouble trying to shift the extra pounds as his active lifestyle on tour with his rock band helped him shrink back to his previous weight.
He explained: "I lost a lot of it by going on your, not straight away, but I was still kinda waddling around on stage for the first few dates, and eventually it came back off, thank God."

Justin Bieber seeks spiritual solace

Justin Bieber searched for spiritual help this weekend which he hoped to achieve through a baptism-like ceremony.
The 19-year-old singer was keen to find a Manhattan property with a private pool on Saturday (01.02.14) to conduct a "cleansing ritual" with the Hillsong Church NYC which believes a person should seek baptism in the Holy Spirit to live a fruitful Christian life.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Justin and his team spent time on Saturday searching for a place with a pool where they could conduct a baptism for him, a cleansing ritual, with the Hillsong Church. But they couldn't find a place in time."
This comes after Justin made headlines for getting himself in trouble.
The 'Confident' hitmaker is facing legal problems in Toronto for allegedly assaulting a limo driver, he allegedly egged a neighbour's house in Los Angeles and was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI), resisting arrest and driving without a licence in Miami.
Another source added: "Justin is serious about his Christian faith, and after recent events, he needed to take a pause."
Justin is believed to have been baptised as a child and is known to be a fan of the megachurch - which is a Protestant church that has more than 2,000 persons in average weekend attendance.

Arctic Monkeys to headline Reading and Leeds Festivals

Arctic Monkeys will headline this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals.
The band - which includes frontman Alex Turner, guitarist Jamie Cook, drummer Matt Helders and bassist Nick O'Malley - are returning to the event after they topped the bill in 2009 and will play on the main stage at both sites for the UK festival which is scheduled between August 22-24.
They confirmed the news on their website, writing: "Arctic Monkeys are pleased to announce they will be headlining Reading and Leeds Festival 2014."
It was previously revealed Blink 182, who headlined in 2010, will play their only UK gigs at the two venues next year.
Bassist Mark Hoppus said last year: "[The new] year will see us in the studio preparing new music, getting ready to rock the fine people of the UK."
Singer/songwriter Jake Bugg will make his debut on the main stage at the event, while dance music duo Disclosure and metal band Of Mice and Men will also play at the festival.
Indie band Metronomy, US band Warpaint with Pusha T, Royal Blood, The 1975, and rap collection I Am Legion have also been announced as part of the line-up.

Queen Elizabeth to visit France this summer

Britain's Queen Elizabeth will mark the 70th anniversary of the D-Day Landings by a visit to France this June.
The 87-year-old monarch and Prince Philip will attend events in Normandy to commemorate June 6, 1944 when the Western Allied forces initiated an operation to liberate mainland Europe from Nazi occupation during World War II.
The royal couple will be guests of President Francois Holland - who the queen has not officially met before - at the Elysee Palace in Paris.
The queen's communications secretary said in a statement issued by Buckingham Palace: "Her Majesty and His Royal Highness are visiting at the invitation of the President of France, President Hollande."
The queen served as a mechanic in the Auxiliary Transport Service during the war while the prince was lieutenant in the British navy.
Elizabeth's last state visit to France was in 2004, which is the same year she attended the 60th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy.
The last official state visit by a French President to the UK was by Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni in 2008.

Blondie to receive NME Godlike Genius Award

Blondie are set to receive the NME Godlike Genius Award.
The 'One Way Or Another' hitmakers will be recognised for their musical genius at the NME Awards 2014 with Austin, Texas on Wednesday, February 26.
The iconic band, fronted by Debbie Harry, have confirmed they will pick up their prize in person and perform at the event, held at the O2 Academy in Brixton, and it's the first time a female performer has won the accolade.
Blondie said: "We've always had a special relationship with the UK and this is great, it's nice to be recognised and it's an outstanding list. To be honoured so nicely, and to play music. What could be better?"
The punk group from New York City are celebrating their 40th anniversary with a two-disc release, 'Blondie 4(0) Ever', comprising a greatest hits album and a new record, 'Ghosts of Download', in May 2014.
NME's Editor Mike Williams said: "As they celebrate their 40th anniversary, there could be no other band more worthy of being honoured as NME's Godlike Genius 2014 than Blondie. They re-wrote the rulebook in the late 70s by dragging punk rock to the top of the charts, and their classic songs still sounds as fresh as ever today.
"Everyone from Iggy Pop, Lily Allen, Lady Gaga and Julian Casablancas have looked to Debbie Harry for inspiration - she's the most iconic frontwoman rock'n'roll has ever produced. It goes without saying that NME is hugely proud, not to mention extremely excited, to be honouring her and Blondie with our most coveted award in 2014."
Previous winners include The Clash, Paul Weller, The Cure, Manic Street Preachers, New Order & Joy Division, Dave Grohl, Noel Gallagher and last year's champion Johnny Marr.
