Bobbi Kristina wants big ‘fairytale’ wedding

Bobbi Kristina Brown is planning a "fairytale" second wedding.
Whitney Houston's daughter secretly married her fiancé Nick Gordon earlier this month, despite controversy over their unconventional relationship since Nick was raised as her brother when the late superstar took him into her home 12 years ago.
The couple now hope to prove the sceptics wrong when they celebrate their commitment to one another for a second time with a big wedding later this year.
Bobbi told The Sun newspaper: "The criticism of our relationship only made us stronger. It lit a fire under our ass. We are officially married now but our wedding was just very low-key. But I can say that we're planning a big wedding later this year.
"It's going to be very royal, classic and beautiful - just a phenomenal ceremony. We're going for the full fairytale."
The 20-year-old aspiring singer says Whitney's death from an overdose in February 2012 brought her and Nick together and she thinks the 'I Will Always Love You' hitmaker would have been excited about the big day.
She added: "Losing mum brought us together. Nick has been there for me - he's my backbone. If my mother could see me now she would just be so incredibly happy. I can just see her - she'd be running around fussing about the wedding."
Meanwhile, Nick, 24, silenced critics by insisting he will never break his vow to Whitney to protect her daughter.
He gushed: "I looked at Krissi like a little sister, she looked at me like an older brother. Whitney taught me how to be a man, how to respect women. I owe everything to her.
"She made me promise several times to look after Krissi. And I will never break that promise."

The Voice’s Jai: will.i.am is too ‘cocky’

'The Voice' hopeful Jai McConnell refused to pick will.i.am as his mentor because he is too "cocky".
The single mum - who wowed the coaches, including Kylie Minogue, Sir Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson, with her rendition of The Noisettes' 'Never Forget You' on Saturday (01.02.14) - picked pop princess Kylie as her mentor over the Black Eyed Peas star after deeming him too arrogant.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I was tempted to go with will but he came on very strong. He's very sure of himself and cocky. He was so sure he was in there. But I knew in my head that I wanted Kylie from the beginning - she's amazing."
Jai is looking forward to working with the 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' hitmaker and hopes to make her three-year-old son, Kingston, proud.
She added: "I can't wait to learn more from Kylie. I think she's massively inspirational. I just look at her and I'm like, 'I want to be you!'
"I've done open mic nights and karaoke and I was in a punk band at college, but this was the biggest deal for me so far. I've not auditioned for other talent shows because I think they can be exploitative. But on 'The Voice' they nurture and support people."

Jay Z and Beyoncé’s $2 million Super Bowl show

Jay Z, Beyoncé and DJ Tiesto were paid more than $2 million to perform at the most expensive Super Bowl party of all-time on Saturday night (01.02.14).
The couple performed for 6,000 guests at Pier 40 on Manhattan's West Side, while DJ Tiesto took to the decks, and the trio banked huge pay cheques for their night's work, according to the New York Post newspaper.
Hollywood stars including Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx were joined by music legend Sir Paul McCartney to watch Beyoncé and her husband perform her single 'Drunk in Love' at the DirecTV Super Saturday party.
The show took place in a specially-constructed 88,000 sq ft stadium - while guests drank in a heated stadium tent which took weeks to build.
Macklemore, Spike Lee, Hayden Panettiere and Kate Upton were amongst the other guests.
Jay, 44, headlined and performed a greatest hits set including his ode to New York City 'Empire State of Mind', before being joined by his wife Beyoncé, 32, to perform their latest collaboration.
The notoriously private pair, who also put on a steamy performance at the Grammy Awards last month, kissed on stage and Jay Z urged the crowd to "all hail Queen B."
The event was sponsored by Mark Cuban's Axs TV and Bank of America.
Later on in the evening the couple attended the Roc Nation Sports and Airbnb party at Jay Z's own 40/40 Club.

Corrie’s Steve and Lloyd in online spin-off

'Coronation Street's Steve McDonald and Lloyd Mullaney will star in a new online spin-off.
ITV will release four hilarious mini-episodes focusing on the cab drivers' late night antics inside the Streetcars' office.
The first episode of 'Streetcar Stories', titled 'The Stripper' - which is available on the 'Coronation Street' website today (03.02.14) - sees Steve (Simon Gregson) and Lloyd (Craig Charles) re-enact the classic Morecombe and Wise 'Breakfast' sketch.
The second episode will be released on Wednesday (05.02.14), followed by the third episode next Monday (10.02.14), which will introduce Streetcars' switchboard operator Fat Brenda's stunning young daughter.
The final instalment of 'Streetcar Stories' will then be released on Wednesday, February 12.
All four short episodes have been scripted by 'Coronation Street' writer Chris Fewtrell.
'Coronation Street' is riding high in the ratings at the moment and recently won Best Soap for the third year in a row at the National Television Awards.
Rumours recently circulated that 'Corrie' producers are secretly plotting a Canadian version of the soap.
A source said: "This is a secret project a group of our top writers have been working on for more than a year. They have already created the core cast of characters and have already written the early episodes."

Philip Seymour Hoffman’s co-stars pay tribute

Robert De Niro is "so saddened" by Philip Seymour Hoffman's death.
The legendary actor has paid tribute to his 'Flawless' co-star - who was found dead aged 46 of an apparent drugs overdose yesterday (02.02.14) - describing him as "gifted" and a "wonderful" actor.
He said: "I'm very, very saddened by the passing of Phil. He was a wonderful actor. This is one of those times where you say 'this just shouldn't be. He was so young and gifted and had so much going, so much to live for'. My family and I send our deepest condolences to his family."
De Niro was one of many of the actor's co-stars to express their sadness at his passing.
Jeff Bridges, who appeared alongside him in cult bowling movie 'The Big Lebowski', said: "I'm so shocked, and so sad hearing of Philip Seymour Hoffman's death. I enjoyed playing with him on 'The Big Lebowski'. He was such a wonderful guy, and so damn talented, a real treasure. My thoughts and prayers are with his family."
And 'Ides of March' actor George Clooney said: "There are no words. It's just terrible."
Tom Hanks, who appeared with Philip in 'Charlie Wilson's War' praised the Oscar-winning actor's "giant talent".
He said in a statement: "This is a horrible day for those who worked ‎with Philip. He was a giant talent. Our hearts are open for his family."
Gwyneth Paltrow shared a picture of herself, Philip, Jude Law and a female friend in Italy after working on 'The Talented Mr. Ripley' on her Instagram account.
She wrote alongside it: "Ischia 1998, post dinner, post shooting...Philip was a true genius. #philipseymourhoffman."

Kevin Jonas smitten with baby

Kevin Jonas is "so in love" with his baby daughter.
The 26-year-old singer and wife Danielle welcomed baby Alena Rose into the world yesterday (02.02.14) and the 'Married to Jonas' star - who tweeted throughout his spouse's labour - is smitten with the new arrival.
He tweeted: "I'm so in love with her (sic)"
Alena's arrival was particularly meaningful for the Jonas family as Danielle gave birth on Kevin's grandfather's memorial.
Kevin's brothers and former bandmates Nick and Joe Jonas had their grandfather on their mind as they spoke of their excitement at the new arrival.
Nick tweeted: "My grandfathers memorial was yesterday. Today we welcome a new addition to the jonas family. God is great. Can't wait to meet my new niece.(sic)"
And Joe wrote: "As one life ends, another begins. Incredibly happy to be an uncle for the first time. Welcome to this world my beautiful niece (sic)"
Before Alena was born, Danielle had promised fans her name was "cute" but "different".
She previously said: "The middle name has a lot of meaning, but her first name is ... different enough but not totally out there. It's cute."

Simon Cowell’s near-miss with knife

Simon Cowell was nearly struck by a knife at the 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions over the weekend.
The reality TV judge was so impressed by an 11-year-old knife-thrower at the Birmingham auditions for the new series, he decided to join the youngster on stage for a demonstration.
However, the 54-year-old music mogul got more than he bargained for when he was nearly hit by one of the metal utensils.
Simon, who was propped in front of a wooden board, was unharmed when the first knife thrown by the boy lodged itself into the board. But the second knife got a little too close to the 'BGT' judge before falling to the floor.
Deciding to return to his seat after the near-miss, fellow judge David Walliams wailed: "You nearly killed Simon!"
The comic then quipped: "How much would I have to pay you to throw the knife a little bit nearer?"
The weekend's auditions also marked the first time one of the judges hit the Golden Buzzer - a new feature which automatically puts the contestant on stage through to the live shows.
Each judge can press the buzzer once during the auditions stage and Amanda Holden became the first to invoke her right after being impressed by a salsa dancing act.

Justin Bieber sacked off from clubs on Super Bowl night

Justin Bieber was turned away from a string of nightclubs following the Super Bowl.
The 'Boyfriend' singer and his entourage reportedly arrived to his favourite nightspot, 1OAK in New York following the NFL finals on Sunday (02.02.14) only to be turned away at the door by owners, who claimed the troubled star is a "hassle" and could tarnish the venue's reputation with his wild antics.
A source told the Confidenti@l column in the New York Daily News newspaper: "While Bieber may be one of the biggest stars in the world, most clubs don't want the hassle of having him inside anymore. He is radioactive until he stops being so volatile. No one wants the bad press that follows him everywhere he goes."
Justin - who is facing legal trouble after allegedly hitting a limousine driver in December, and was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI), driving with a suspended license and resisting arrest in Miami last month - was also said to have been turned away from "at least four" Super Bowl parties last night.
And his lack of partying success followed on from the previous evening as he had also tried to party with Jay Z at the DirecTV bash at Pier 40 nightclub on Saturday (01.02.14) but organisers didn't want the 19-year-old star to attend.
However, the 'Baby' hitmaker didn't let the refusals deter him, as he was later seen performing his "skateboarding stunts" for guests and fans at the Leather & Laces party at the Liberty Theatre on Sunday before being spotted skateboarding through Times Square at 4am.

William Roache jurors told to put emotions aside

Jurors in William Roache's ongoing trial have been instructed to put emotions aside as they reach their verdict.
Mr. Justice Timothy Holroyde, who is presiding over the trial at Preston Crown Court, has begun his summary of the court case, in which the 'Coronation Street' star stands accused of two rapes and four sexual assaults against girls under the age of 16 between 1965 and 1971.
Speaking in court today (03.02.14), the judge called for a "cool-headed appraisal" of the evidence given in the trial, which includes the testimonies of five women who have accused the 81-year-old actor.
Judge Holroyde said: "Emotions must play no part in your decisions. It would only distract from your solemn duty in accordance with the oath or affirmation you made at the start of the trial to return true verdicts according to the evidence.
"What is needed is a cool-headed appraisal of the evidence you have heard. So concentrate on those aspects of the evidence which you think are important to your verdict."
William was accused of assaulting the women in the dressing rooms and toilets of Granada Studios in Manchester, where 'Coronation Street' was once filmed, and in his car. One alleged victim claimed she was raped twice at his homes in Lancashire.
The actor - who has played 'Corrie's' Ken Barlow since 1960 - strenuously denies all charges against him.

Anthony Kiedis played football on Super Bowl pitch

Anthony Kiedis says playing football before the Super Bowl was a "dream come true".
The Red Hot Chili Peppers singer and his bandmates joined Bruno Mars during the half-time performance in the NFL game between Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey last night (02.02.14) and though he enjoyed the occasion, the rocker admits his favourite part of the day was getting onto the pitch during rehearsals.
He said: "We did score touchdowns during rehearsals before they kicked us off the field, which was like a dream come true. Our drummer Chad Smith threw me a touchdown pass - one of the greatest feelings of my life."
The 'Under the Bridge' hitmakers joined Bruno for a performance of their hit 'Give It Away' and found the singer to be an "awesome" collaborator.
Anthony told AccessHollywood.com: "Bruno Mars is a complete and utter gentleman. I gained a ton of respect. He was awesome, intelligent and kind."
His bandmate Flea added: "Bruno is a very nice man and his band are a bunch of sweethearts and it was very nice to work with all of them."
Anthony also admitted the group had been approached to perform at the famous half-time show in the past, but didn't give any details.
He simply said: "The conversation had occurred prior over the years."

Sheryl Crow felt destined to become a mother

Sheryl Crow felt destined to become a mother.
The country singer says getting the all-clear from breast cancer in 2007 shortly after splitting from fiancé Lance Armstrong made her decide to adopt her sons - Wyatt, now six, and three-year-old Levi - because she realised having a family didn't have to occur in the conventional way.
She told the new issue of Britain's HELLO! magazine: "I began the adoption process right after I finished my radiation treatment. I always felt like I was meant to be a mom, but I'd been stuck on how I was supposed to do that. I thought the story was supposed to happen in a different way - you fall in love, you get married, you have children. But fortunately I opened my mind to other options.
"My story started the day I finished my radiation - what my life became since then. I moved to Nashville, closer to home and many great friends. I adopted my children. [Adoption] was not about me wanting a man. I wanted children. I finally realised there was no need for me to keep trying to bring a kid into the world when there are already for many great kids in the world looking for their people."
The 'If It Makes You Happy' singer - who turns 52 next week - feels blessed that her sons share a strong physical resemblance with her family and believes God has been smiling down on her.
Sheryl said: "Both [Wyatt] and Levi have a strong resemblance to my family. I think God has a wacky sense of humour. I waited all these years to be a mom and thought, I'll take whatever you give me - special needs, mixed race, whatever. And he gives me two incredible boys who look just like me."

Happyish ‘unlikely’ to continue

'Happyish' is likely to be scrapped following the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman.
The 46-year-old actor - who was found dead of an apparent drugs overdose at his New York home yesterday (02.02.14) - "drives every scene" in the pilot episode of the Showtime series, and with network bosses fighting a year to cast him in the show, it is unlikely it will be able to carry on without him.
A source told E! News: "It is hard to imagine a way in which it could go on. His role would have to be recast and there weren't any other actors in serious consideration aside from Philip. If the show does move forward, the premiere would be delayed as pilot would need to be reshot."
Philip's death comes just a few weeks after it was announced the network had picked up 10 episodes of the comedy-drama, in which he played ad agency executive Thom Payne who gets the "gift of insignificance" on his birthday, as well as a new boss.
Following the news of his death, Showtime paid tribute to his "fine and brilliant" talent.
The network released a statement saying: "Philip Seymour Hoffman was one of our generation's finest and most brilliant actors. He was also a gifted comedic talent. It was a great privilege and pleasure to work with him and we are all absolutely devastated by this sudden loss. Our thoughts go out to his family at this very difficult time."
At the time of his death, the actor was working on 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 and 2', with just seven days of shooting on the second movie left to finish. His work as Head Gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee in the first movie was "substantially complete".
His passing will not affect the release of the movies, which are scheduled for November 2014 and 2015.
