Miley Cyrus isn't "passionate" about acting.
The 'Wrecking Ball' singer - who shot to fame aged 12 after starring in Disney TV show 'Hannah Montana' - is no longer interested in appearing in movies because she hates having to pretend to be someone else.
She said: "I'm just not passionate about acting, because I don't like to pretend to be somebody I'm actually not.
"Why should I put on strange characters? I prefer to show my true colours as the real Miley Cyrus."
The 21-year-old star also spoke out to demand more "tolerance" in the world and admitted she doesn't understand how discriminatory attitudes are still held in the modern world.
Speaking to Germany's Vogue magazine, she said: "I think a lot about politics. Despite the fact that it's the 21st century and America is so proud of being a free country, sometimes incomprehensible things happen in our society.
"There is racism and discrimination. I fight against that. I demand more tolerance, especially for homosexuals, who of course should be allowed to marry."
Miley went on to encourage people of her age to shed "restrictions" in a quest for "self-fulfillment", though she also acknowledged she is in a different position to most young women.
She said: "I'm not exactly a normal citizen. My profession allows me to run around however I like. Wild outfits or crazy haircuts are not taboo for me. After all, I work in the entertainment business, which I feel is a huge plus, simply because in this profession I can develop freely with no trouble at all.
"I'm also completely convinced that every young person has the right to get free of whatever's restricting them. Which is why I encourage everyone to go for self-fulfillment."
Peter Andre was once stood up on Valentines Day.
The 40-year-old singer - who is engaged to Emily Macdonagh, the mother of his one-month-old daughter Amelia - previously flew out to Paris to celebrate the romantic holiday on February 14 and had plans to meet a special someone, but felt rejected and ended up wallowing in his own misery when his other half didn't turn up.
He confessed to heat magazine: "I went to Paris, flew out there thinking I was going to meet someone, but she didn't turn up.
"I couldn't get hold of her, so I was in Paris on my won, walking past all the restaurants, watching couples and feeling sorry for myself."
Following this bad experience, Peter - who also has children Junior, eight, and Princess, six, with ex-wife Katie Price - has refused to return to the romantic French capital for the romantic day.
He joked: "I found out later that she'd gone out on Valentines with someone else. That was the last time I went to Paris on Valentines Day."
Peter also confessed he is very "cheesy" and admitted he's sent roses, a padded Valentines card and covered a bed in rose petals to impress a woman.
Quizzed on how cheesy he is on a scale on one - 10, he explained: "Eleven plus, probably. I am quite cheesy."
Shirley Temple has died.
The former child actress passed away from natural causes at her home in Woodside, California yesterday (10.02.14) at the age of 85, her agent has confirmed.
Her family said in a statement: "She was surrounded by her family and caregivers.
"We salute her for a life of remarkable achievements as an actor, as a diplomat, and... our beloved mother, grandmother [and] great-grandmother."
Shirley landed her first movie role at the age of three and, in 1935, she became the youngest person to receive an Academy Award - a record she still holds - when she won a special juvenile Oscar aged just six.
She starred in over 43 films - including 'Bright Eyes', 'Stand Up and Cheer' and 'Curly Top' but struggled to maintain her cinematic career in adulthood and retired from movies in 1950, though she continued to work in television.
Following the end of her entertainment career, Shirley served as a U.S. ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia.
The actress married first husband John Agar - the father of her daughter Linda - in 1945 when she was just 17 years old, but they divorced four years later.
She went on to marry Charles Alden Black in 1950 and the couple had children Charles Jr.
and Lori together. The couple were married for 54 years until Charles passed away in August 2005 from complications from a bone marrow disease.
Anne Fletcher is in talks to direct Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara in a new comedy.
The '27 Dresses' filmmaker is reportedly in negotiations to helm 'Don't Mess With Texas', a female-driven action comedy which will see the 'Legally Blonde' star ...
Liam Gallagher is set to hold castings in Los Angeles for a new Beatles film.
The Beady Eye frontman wants Jared Leto and Ethan Hawke to star in the movie and has convinced Michael Winterbottom to direct the film about The Beatles' company Apple Corps and the break-up of the group.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Liam is going to hold castings in the US in April. A lot of the lead roles are American, so he's keen to find the right names.
"He knows he's not going to manage to entice someone like Brad Pitt but he wants high-calibre people who are more on the indie scene of Hollywood. He thinks actors such as Jared and Ethan would be perfect."
The former Oasis lead singer, who split from his own band in 2009 after a huge bust-up with brother and bandmate Noel, is the executive producer of The Longest Cocktail Party and is currently looking for someone to fund his movie.
The source said the 41-year-old star aims to follow in the footsteps of late Beatles guitarist George Harrison, whose company HandMade Films produced hit movies 'Monty Python's Life Of Brian' and 'The Long Good Friday'.
The Beatles - also made up of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and the late John Lennon - made their first debut on US TV 50 years ago and stars gathered for a special tribute show last month at The Los Angeles Convention Centre.
The group formed in Liverpool in 1960 and split in 1970 after Paul said he was quitting the band.
Sir Elton John wants to make electronic music.
The 66-year-old singer and musician admits he's still a novice when it comes to recording but wants to collaborate with Pharrell Williams as he explores different musical genres.
He told Clash Magazine: "I adore electronic music. I get up in the morning and put on electronic music.
"I did a track with Timbaland. I hope to do something with Pharrell. I've done a track with Bright Light Bright Light, a guy called Rod Thomas, and it's brilliant. I like exploring other avenues."
But the 'Your Song' hitmaker admits he has a lot to learn and has been asking for advice from younger artists.
He said: "As a piano player I tend to overdo things, and electronic music is about simplicity. I had lunch with James Blake the other day, and listening to his album is so simple and beautiful.
"I would be tempted to do so much more, and he has the ability to be so minimalistic and I love it. They're like paintings, not songs."
The legendary star releases a reissue of his classic album 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' on March 24 but is waiting to decide what his next musical move will be and praised artists he's collaborated with in the past, including Kanye West.
Elton said: "I did things with Queens Of The Stone Age, and that was a completely different experience.
"Playing on the Kanye West record, 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy', which is genius from start to finish, was a f***ing honour. It was like: 'Wow, I'm on this f***ing record!' And it was different. You can always learn.
"By pooh-poohing dance music, rap or anything, you just lose so much, because if you get into the studio with these guys you realise they're onto something completely different to what you do.
"By you saying it's rubbish it's completely wrong, because what they do is something you don't understand but it's completely relevant and it's very exciting."
Britain's Queen Elizabeth is making her royal residence in Scotland available for hire.
The monarch's Balmoral home could soon host live music concerts for thousands of fans as the 87-year-old royal plans to make more money from the estate.
According to the Daily Express newspaper, the website for Royal Deeside has been re-vamped and a new advert has been posted inviting people to enquire about hiring the land.
The advert reads: "Balmoral provides the perfect setting for your event, with wonderful scenery and the castle providing and magnificent backdrop.
"Whether you are planning a charity event, gala dinner, training course, team building exercise, car rally, conference or even a concert we can assist with your plans."
The news after the Commons Public Accounts Committee announced last month that the Queen is down to her last £1 million.
Rock concerts have not been ruled out but outdoor shows will only take place in the spring and summer months before the Royal Family's traditional stay at Balmoral every year.
Visitor enterprise manager, Gary Marsden, said: "We are open to suggestions suitable for the location.
"We are not planning to stage concerts ourselves, it would be up to others."
Balmoral has been a royal residence in the Scottish Highlands since 1852 and hosted an outdoor concert to mark the Queen's 80th birthday in 2006, which saw opera singer Katherine Jenkins take to the stage.
Large events such as Balmoral Road Races and BikeBalmoral have also been held at the estate.
Matt Lucas has had his BBC One awards show cancelled.
The 'Little Britain' star filmed two series of 'The Matt Lucas Awards' and a festive special, which featured chats with celebrity guests as they handed out alternative gongs, but TV bosses had no choice but to pull the plug after the ratings slipped.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Matt's a superb talent but 'The Matt Lucas Awards' were just a bit odd.
"It started out doing quite well in the post-ten o'clock news slot but over time, the audience just drifted away. A Christmas special was made but that's it, time to move on."
The project first began as Radio 2 programme 'And The Winner Is' after Matt and his 'Little Britain' co-star David Walliams ended their comedy partnership when Matt pulled out of a second series of comedy 'Come Fly With Me'. The pair have not worked together since and David was said to be disappointed with the decision.
Initially the viewings figures for Matt's solo show were impressive but they dropped from 2.4 million in April 2012 to 1.6 million for the last series in April 2013.
Celebrities who appeared on the show include 'X Factor' judge Louis Walsh, actress Ruth Jones and TV presenter Chris Tarrant, who gave out awards for categories including 'weirdest celebrity crush' and 'most unbelievable Bible story'.
BBC insiders insist the 39-year-old comic is still well-loved and is currently working on a new silent comedy called 'Pompidou'.
The six-part series will air later this year and see Matt play a posh character who ends up with no money.
A friend of the star claims he hasn't been left disappointed after the decision to axe his awards show.
He said: "Matt didn't want to do any more of the awards shows in order to spend more time on Pompidou."
Melissa George has given birth to her first son.
The 'Good Wife' actress and her boyfriend Jean-David Blanc welcomed baby Raphaël into the world on Thursday (06.02.14) and the 37-year-old beauty couldn't be happier.
She announced the news on twitter yesterday (10.02.14), writing: "Welcome to the world! Our beautiful son just born at the American hospital of Paris.
"There are no words to describe the love."
The 'Alias' actress previously revealed she fell for the French entrepreneur instantly when they met in 2012 and always knew he'd make a great father.
She said: ''It's a cliché that when you know, you know, but it was kind of effortless. When I met Jean-David, it just evolved into an extension of our love. It's absolutely the greatest news because we're so right for each other.
''It was love at first sight. We knew, instantly. Everything else went away. Everything went quiet.''
Melissa was married to Chilean director Claudio Dabed until for 11 years until they split in 2011, but says she's not ruled out a wedding with 45-year-old Jean-David in the future.
She added: ''I'd [get married] again in a heartbeat. I don't think 'because it didn't work out the first time, it won't work out.' When you have a baby together, it's something that would be an extension.''
Bradley Cooper is "living the dream".
The 39-year-old actor can't believe the success he is enjoying in his career and feels lucky to work with such respected names as Clint Eastwood - who will direct him in 'American Sniper' - and filmmaker David O. Russell, who directed him in both 'Silver Linings Playbook' and 'American Hustle'.
Responding to a comment he always seems "honoured and grateful" for Oscar attention, he said: "It would be hard not to be. I get to do the things I dreamt of as a kid, like working now with Clint Eastwood and being able to work twice with David O. Russell. I am absolutely living the dream."
Bradley has received his second Best Actor nomination in a row this year and admits he still doesn't think he deserves to be considered.
Speaking at the annual Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills yesterday (10.02.14), he added: "To be able to be a part of this kind of thing two years in a row, I just keep waiting for them to take me away and say, 'Sorry, sir, what are you doing here?' Maybe it's the way I was raised."
Justin Bieber's waxwork has been taken down from Madame Tussauds.
The figure of the 19-year-old star has been removed from display at the New York museum on West 42nd Street after it began to wear away from so many fans touching it over the years.
The statue shows Justin when he was younger and, despite regular maintenance, "it no longer does justice either to the star or to the attraction", so bosses decided to withdraw it from the site.
Madame Tussauds general manager, Bret Pidgeon, told the New York Post newspaper: "This is disappointing, but hopefully we can welcome a new grown-up Justin back to the attraction in the near future."
Meanwhile, the 'Baby' hitmaker - who has been charged with driving under the influence (DUI), driving with an expired license and resisting arrest after he was caught allegedly drag racing in Miami last month - sent his fans into meltdown yesterday (10.02.14) after he quietly changed his name to 'Bizzle' on Instagram following reports he is planning a career in rap.
However, the news didn't go down well with rapper Lethal Bizzle, who accused him of stealing his name.
Lethal sent The Sun newspaper a statement, reading: "Myself and the DENCH Gang ain't happy about it. Nothing cool about the cheesiest boy in pop using your name to be 'cool'. He needs to #Leaveityeah! #Justinthiefer."
Matthew Morrison wants Simon Cowell and One Direction to make cameo appearances on 'Glee'.
The singer-and-actor thinks the band - which includes Zayn Malik, 21, Harry Styles, 20, Louis Tomlinson, 22, Liam Payne, 20, and Niall Horan, 20 - could join the comedy drama as students attending McKinley High School in Ohio.
Matthew - who plays teacher Will Schuester - told the Daily Star newspaper: "We have been so fortunate to have some great cameos, and to have One Direction on would be great for the show.
"They are not much older than High School age so we could have them as students. And I am sure the younger female cast members wouldn't object to their presence either."
The 35-year-old actor and his co-star Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester) are also hoping for media mogul Simon - whose reality show 'X Factor' helped catapult the band into the spotlight in 2010.
He explained: "Both mine and Jane Lynch's dream cameo is Simon Cowell. So maybe the boys could bring their manager.
"It would make great TV seeing Sue Sylvester and Simon Cowell go head to head."
Some of One Direction's songs, including 'What Makes You Beautiful' and 'Live While We're Young', have previously been performed on 'Glee' but Matthew admitted he didn't know much about the group when they used their tracks and he is astonished at how far they have come since then.
He added: "I remember when the show covered 'What Makes You Beautiful' I had only just heard of One Direction.
"But since then they have pretty much gone one to take over the world!"
