Oprah Winfrey creates tea line for Starbucks

Oprah Winfrey is creating her own tea line for Starbucks.
The chat show legend has teamed up with the coffee shop giant to create the perfect chai blend, which will be available in store from April 29.
The 60-year-old star joined Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz onstage this morning (19.03.14) during the coffee retailer's annual shareholder's meeting to announce the news.
She said: "My daily tea ritual is a vital part of my morning. Savory and spicy chai, with its deep flavour, has long been a favourite of mine.
"When Howard Schultz offered to have me come into the Starbucks tasting room and create my very own tea blend, I thought that sounded like such a unique opportunity and fun to the tenth power.
"Starbucks is not just a coffee company... it's about nurturing the human spirit."
Proceeds from the tea's sales will go towards charities which that focus on a cause close to Oprah's heart, youth education.
They include her South African boarding school, the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls.
It appears the business deal has blossomed from a friendship, with 'The Butler' star first becoming acquainted with Schultz when she interviewed him for her 'Super Soul Sunday' series last year.

L’Wren Scott’s family want Utah funeral

L'Wren Scott's family want her to be buried in Utah.
The late fashion designer, who was found dead in her New York City apartment on Monday (17.03.14) morning in an apparent suicide, was adopted as a child by a devout Mormon couple and her siblings are hoping she will be laid to rest in her hometown where her close-knit family can mourn her peacefully.
L'Wren was particularly close to her older brother Randall Bambrough and her sister Jan Shane.
Rob Shane, her brother-in-law, told the New York Daily News: "Jan is hoping that Randy will do the right thing and bring L'Wren back to Utah. The family has a plot at a cemetery in North Ogden, and she would like her sister buried by their parents."
He revealed that Jan physically collapsed when she discovered L'Wren's passing, after the tragic news broke that the 49-year-old designer had been found hanging from a scarf on a doorknob by her assistant.
Rob added: "She was devastated. L'Wren and Jan were very close growing up and really up until the death of their mother six years ago.
"She often told Jan she was envious of Jan having a family. I remember Jan saying, 'You have fame and fortune.' But L'Wren said, 'Yes, but you have a family.' "
He also confirmed that no funeral plans had yet been made for the former model, who divided her time between New York, London and Paris with her partner of 13 years, Sir Mick Jagger.
The 70-year-old rocker is struggling to come to terms with his loss and has been very distant since hearing the news, his Rolling Stones bandmate Charlie Watts has revealed.

Khloe Kardashian swears by Spanx

Khloe Kardashian swears by Spanx.
The bubbly reality star - who is currently promoting the latest Kardashian Kollection for Lipsy with her sisters Kim and Kourtney - says her top tip for looking good on the red carpet is the body-hugging undergarment, which gives the illusion of a streamlined figure and makes her feel more confident.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "My number one secret is Spanx. Suck it in! I don't care how skinny you are, it's not about making you look thinner, it's about no lines. And let's suck all that stuff in! I'm all for Spanx.
"But other than that, water. It changes your skin. I was never into water when I was younger - but now I'm all about it because I'm mature and wiser now!"
In spite of the Kardashian sisters' gorgeous looks, Khloe admits the girls all suffer from body insecurities and she is especially self-conscious about her upper arms.
The 29-year-old beauty explained: "I hate my arms, they're my least favourite body part so I love to cover them up. We have some great jackets in the Kollection, even with a fitted dress, I like to put a little jacket over it.
"I think [with my sisters], our body insecurities rotate. Other than that I think, just show it off!"
The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' stars have been busy expanding their fashion empire with the launch of the Kardashian Kids range, but Khloe joked she hasn't been much help compared to Kim - who has nine month old daughter North with Kanye West - and Kourtney - mother to Mason, four, and Penelope, 20 months - because all she does is coo over the small clothes.
She said: "Now that North is here and Kim is dressing her and Penelope's getting older, Kourtney and Kim are definitely more opinionated than I am.
"I just think everything is so cute because everything in little sizes is just so adorable! But Kourtney and Kim know what fabrics are better because they have kids so that's interesting."
The Kardashian Kollection for Lipsy is available in selected Lipsy stores and at www.lipsy.co.uk.

Kristin Cavallari defends anti-vaccination stance

Kristin Cavallari has defended her anti-vaccination stance.
'The Hills' star and her husband Jay Cutler came under fire last month for deciding not to inoculate their 19-month-old son Camden, but Kristin insists the couple are worried about the potential side effects and are just trying to make the best decision for their family.
Discussing her opinions on 'Watch What Happens Live', the pregnant star said: "Here's the thing: At the end of the day, I'm just a mom. I'm trying to make the best decision for my kid.
"There are very scary statistics out there regarding what is in vaccines and what they cause - asthma, allergies, ear infections, all kinds of things. And we feel like we're making the best decision for our kids."
The 27-year-old shoe designer was stunned by the "harsh" backlash she initially faced when she revealed on Fox Business show 'The Independents' that she wasn't planning to vaccinate her young son.
The reality star was also quizzed about her past on MTV's 'The Hills' by host Andy Cohen during her appearance on 'WWHL'.
Despite making a name for herself as Lauren Conrad's gossip-mongering arch nemesis on the show, Kristin admitted the catfights were all for the cameras.
She said: "No one was [actually] that big of a bitch, honestly."

Kate Winslet did Divergent stunts while pregnant

Kate Winslet did her own 'Divergent' stunts while pregnant.
The actress - who gave birth to a son, Bear Blaze, three months ago - was so hands-on during filming for the highly-anticipated big screen adaptation of Veronica Roth's bestselling teen triology that she refused to have a stunt double on set until director Neil Burger put his foot down.
Speaking at the US premiere of 'Divergent', Veronica told People magazine: "It's pretty funny because she was pregnant when we were shooting, but she wanted to do her own stunt falls.
"She did a couple. She's you know, very careful about it, and then finally Neil Burger was like, 'Okay I'm too nervous - you can't do this anymore.' She was like, you know, taking-charge lady - she powers through. It's really impressive."
Kate - who also has children Mia, 13, and Joe, 10, from previous relationships - was so "committed" to her role as cold and calculating leader of the Erudite faction, Jeanine Matthews, that she insisted on making her performance as realistic as possible.
Neil added: "We had to refit all of her wardrobe, but then there is a scene where she fights Shailene [Woodley] and she was like, you know, taking the falls and I'm like, 'Stop, you're pregnant.' But she was still wanting to do it with as much action.
"She's a committed actress and she's a committed mother, too. But she is just completely there, and you kind of just have to stop her."

John Kani: Protest theatre is still relevant

John Kani says protest theatre is still relevant today.
The Tony award-winning actor and playwright says he had been targeted by the government and narrowly escaped a series of hate crimes due to his opposition against South Africa's apartheid when working abroad as an actor in the 1970's.
John told City Press: "I had been detained, I survived an assassination attempt and survived 11 stab wounds. I travelled with a document that did not state my nationality because the government called me a 'bad ambassador' of the country."
When apartheid fell, John was one of millions of South Africans who voted in the country's inaugural democratic elections in 1990, and he admits he was doubtful as to whether the oppressive regime would change.
He explained: "I voted. I walked out. And I was f*****g angry after I voted. How can it be so easy to change this country? But then as I walked away with my wife, I said to her, 'I feel a strange responsibility to nurture this new-found freedom and to continue to be the watchdog of this freedom'".
John is using his inspiration for his new play 'Missing' - which documents the struggles of a South African political exile - and he claims theatre still has an important part to play in politics.
He added: "Protest theatre has a place again. It's not against whites or apartheid. It is against injustice and anything that fails our people."

Justin Bieber suffering from injured foot at time of DUI arrest?

Justin Bieber insists he wasn't intoxicated during his Miami DUI arrest in January and was actually suffering from an injured foot.
The 20-year-old singer was forced to undertake a sobriety test in Miami-Dade County Jail at the time - footage of which was recently made public - and wobbled precariously, with subsequent tests revealing traces of Xanax and marijuana in his system and a blood alcohol level of .014.
However, new documents obtained by TMZ show the singer's inability to walk in a straight line for police could actually have been due to a hairline fracture in his foot.
The gossip site reports that Justin claimed the injury occurred during a skateboarding accident three months prior to his arrest.
The 'Baby' hitmaker is also said to have made his case worse after reportedly being caught drag racing in a yellow Lamborghini because of his attitude towards the cops at the station.
He allegedly quipped, "I'm 19 years old. I'm just out having a good time", and when an officer replied he hadn't been driving a Lamborghini at that age, the teen heartthrob retorted, "Yeah, well, I bet you didn't have millions of dollars in your bank account either."
Justin is set to appear in court on May 5 to face charges of DUI, resisting arrest and driving without a valid license, all of which he has pleaded not guilty to.
Meanwhile, the Canadian star appears to have cleaned up his act after spending Monday (17.03.14) in the recording studio working on new music.
Removal vans were then spotted outside of his mansion in Calabasas, California, the following day as he packed up for his big move to Atlanta, Georgia.

Sasha Pieterse: Show secrecy was ridiculous

Sasha Pieterse says the secrecy surrounding 'Pretty Little Liars' season finale was "ridiculous".
The 18-year-old actress portrays Alison DiLaurentis in the show and admits finding out the truth about her character's mysterious disappearance - that her mother had buried her alive - came as a huge shock to her.
She told E! News: "That was so twisted! They kept that finale script so under wraps it was ridiculous. We heard rumours, we heard little things, little bits. But when I actually read it, I was like, 'You have got to be kidding me!' Actually, I must admit though, my first thought about it was like, 'Oh no, I have to be in a grave again!' but they did it very well, and it was completely shocking."
Sasha now can't wait for season five of the show because it offers a new dimension to her character.
Asked what can be expected from the next series, she said: "Alison coming back in their lives is ridiculous in the best way possible, and I think the writers have done a really great job. Now we get to do a lot of fun stuff because we've never encountered this before. This is not a flashback -- it's current time and I get to wear current clothes. I'm very excited, I couldn't be more happy about that.
"I think it's going to be so much fun. I can't wait to see how they incorporate just regular civilians. You know what I mean? What are people's reactions going to be to someone they thought was dead --twice. I mean there was like two memorials and all this stuff. It's ridiculous!"

Charlie Sheen gives career advice to kids

Charlie Sheen gave career advice to children at an elementary school.
The 'Anger Management' star decided to pay a visit to his daughters Sam, 10, and eight-year-old Lola's school as part of career day, and while the talk was "funny" the kids reportedly had "no clue" who he was.
A source told RadarOnline.com: "It was funny and Charlie answered questions from the kids about being a television star. The talk lasted about 10 minutes and then he was gone. The other parents certainly know who he is, but the kids had no clue that Charlie was a major Hollywood actor. Now they know."
It's thought the troubled actor - who is now engaged to porn star Brett Rossi - displayed amicable behaviour towards his ex-wife Denise Richards, although they didn't speak to one another.
The source added: "[The couple did not] exchange any words, as she sat on the opposite side of the room."
Meanwhile, the pair are to become involved in a bitter court battle in the coming weeks, as Charlie is reportedly planning an appearance in a Los Angeles court in a bid to decrease the $55,000 a month he pays to Denise for child support of Sam and Lola.
And the 48-year-old actor is looking to evict his ex-wife from the luxury home he owns and has allowed her to live in with her three children.
An insider added: "Charlie hasn't spent any time with the girls in several months and thinks it's ridiculous that he continue to pay Denise $55,000 every month."

Kristen Stewart wants Rob to help adopt dog

Kristen Stewart wants on/off boyfriend Robert Pattinson to help her adopt a new dog.
The 'Twilight' actress, who has two pooches of her own, Cole and Bailey, as well as Bear and Bernie, which she shares with the actor, is hoping he will find a new friend for them while filming new movie 'Life' in Toronto to mark her upcoming 24th birthday.
A friend told Hollywoodlife.com: "Kristen asked Rob what his thoughts were about her adopting another dog for her birthday. Kind of like a gift for her and Bailey, because Bailey wants a friend. She's been like, 'If you see a rescue dog in Toronto and you think the dog would be a good match, adopt him and bring him back to LA'."
Animal lover Kristen, who will celebrate her birthday on April 9, is still in contact with her 'Twilight' co-star Rob, 27, who ended their four-year relationship last year after he struggled to get over her brief fling with married director Rupert Sanders in July 2012, and she wants him to be involved in her birthday celebrations next month.
The source added: "Kristen wants to celebrate her upcoming birthday with her close friends in LA, and she wants Rob to join them.
"Even though she hasn't seen Rob in the longest time, they still talk all the time. They text, Skype. They are both pretty much in the same place right now, just focusing on work and staying focused."
