Jack Savoretti’s career tips from Paul McCartney

Jack Savoretti was given career advice by Sir Paul McCartney.
The 30-year-old singer, who appeared alongside Johnny Depp and Kate Moss in Paul's recent video for his track 'Queenie Eye', was given some tips from The Beatles legend and has kept in touch with him.
Jack told BANG Showbiz: "I was very lucky to be able to hang out with Paul McCartney for two hours and he's just an absolute legend.
"I was surprised by his enthusiasm to talk about the stuff he's probably been asked [about] a thousand times. It's was as if I was the first person ever to ask him, 'What was it like to be a Beatle?'
"He asked me how things are going and he said, 'Don't worry about things too much, just make sure you come up with good songs'.
"He played me Lady Madonna on the piano and none of my friends believed me. It was a great experience and he has kept in touch since. He sent me a card on my birthday and a Christmas card. I wasn't expecting that.
Jack, who will release her new EP 'Sweet Hurt' on March 24 on Lanza Records, also previously recorded a duet with pal Sienna Miller called 'Love and Hate', which featured on The Vampire Diaries.
He said: "She's an incredible singer. I saw her at the Groucho Club [in London] one night stand up on a table and sing Nancy Sinatra acapella. I remember being completely shocked like, 'I didn't know you could do that'.
"She was going through something, I was going through something [at the time] and I wanted to write a song about the fine line between hate and love."
Jack, who has released three albums, is also about to step out on a headline tour of the UK, after supporting the likes of Jake Bugg and Bruce Springsteen.
He added: "I think the crowds in the UK are actually the most knowledgeable about music, you have to pick up your game. You have to give them something they haven't heard before or haven't seen."

Kurt Cobain’s home could become museum

Kurt Cobain's childhood home could be turned into a museum.
Fans of the late Nirvana singer have joined a campaign to raise money to turn the property in Aberdeen, Washington into a tourist attraction.
The 'Numb' singer's mother, Wendy O'Connor, put the bungalow on the market last year for $500,000, even though it was only valued for about $67,000 and now fan
journalist Jaime Dunkle has now set up a page on website GoFundMe to try and pull in $700,000 to "[make] sure this house is memorialised by us fans so it doesn't end up in the clutches of capitalist greed".
She said she sent information about herself to Kurt's mother to prove that she wasn't a "crazed fan" and was serious about trying to raise the money.
Jaime told the Broward-Palm Beach New Times: "I used to be in the American Criminal Justice Association, so I made a long list of everything I've ever done and emailed it to the real estate agent, and she said she was forwarding it to Mrs O'Connor.
"After that, they started taking me more seriously, I think. It took weeks of phone calls and emails, but I successfully set up an appointment to see the house. I deliberately arranged it to be on what would have been Kurt Cobain's 47th birthday."
She described her first visit to the property on as a "total head spin" and was only given 15 minutes to take photographs and film inside the bungalow.
Jaime added: "The walk up the stairs into his bedroom made the hairs on my neck stand up. All I could think was that I was seeing through his eyes and walking in his footsteps, literally."
Wendy and Kurt's father, Donald, bought the house in 1969, when the singer was two years old.
The 27-year-old star, who shot himself and was found dead in April 1994., moved out when his parents separated when he was nine but returned for short period during his teenage years.

Lil Wayne praises Kanye West as a ‘genius’

Lil Wayne thinks Kanye West is a "genius".
The 'Lollipop' hitmaker has defended the controversial rapper and insists he's willing to back up anything Kanye does after being left dazzled by his recent 'Yeezus Tour'.
Speaking to Elliott Wilson for his CRWN series, Lil Wayne said: "I rock with anything he does. That man's a genius. He did a whole show with a mask on.
"When he came out with the mask, I was like, 'This n***a crazy,' so then two songs go by, 'This n***a crazy, he still got that mask on.' That's crazy as hell ' y'all know I couldn't do no s**t like that.
"I found myself out of breath in that b***h. Now you know that's a show."
Lil Wayne - who is the founder of record label Young Money Entertainment - also explained why he stopped referring to himself as, "The best rapper in the world", after signing Drake and Nicki Minaj.
He said: "I have awesome artists, simple and plain. At that time I didn't have that, I [didn't] care who on the mic. But now I have artists [and I say], 'I want you to be better than me.' Yes. I want everybody to feel like they're the best at what they do. It ain't about that now, it's about us."

Hollyoaks’ Dianne O’Connor’s wedding disaster

Hollyoaks' Diane O'Connor will be left furious when police ruin her wedding.
Diane (Alex Fletcher) recently called off her engagement to Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) after he got involved with shady character Trevor Royle (Greg Wood), but when she realises she still loves him she decides to go ahead with the ceremony - only for disaster to strike when her daughter Sinead (Stephanie Davis) gets the police involved.
She explained: "Sinead overhears a conversation between Ste and Tony about the drugs, which Tony has brought back to the flat accidentally.
"Sinead now knows that there are drugs in the flat, so she tips off the police out of revenge.
"Just as Diane is about to leave for the wedding, the police arrive with sniffer dogs and she gets arrested. She doesn't have a clue what's going on!"
Sinead - whose parenting skills have been called into question over the past few months due to her taking her daughter Katy to hospital numerous times despite there seemingly being nothing wrong - is looking for revenge against her mother after discovering that she wasn't invited to her and Tony's wedding, but Alex says Diane had no choice.
She told Digital Spy:"I think at the moment, Diane is just trying to give Sinead a bit of distance and space. She can't really have Sinead there anyway, because baby Katy will be at the wedding and it's up to social services to decide when Sinead can have contact with her. It's not like Diane is being totally unreasonable or mean - she genuinely can't invite her."

Bad Education gets third series

BBC Three has renewed 'Bad Education', Bluestone 42' and 'Some Girls'.
All three sitcoms will return for new series on the digital channel, which has also ordered two new comedies, 'Top Coppers' and '600 Days'.
'Bad Education' is back for a third series, with star-and-writer Jack Whitehall on board to reprise his role as mischievous school teacher Alfie Wickers.
The critically acclaimed 'Bluestone 42', meanwhile, follows the comedic adventures of a bomb disposal unit based in Afghanistan. The series will be back for six new episodes on BBC Three.
Finally, 'Some Girls' will revisit Greenshoots Academy and its four leading ladies, sixth form students Viva, Amber, Holli and Saz.
BBC's controller of comedy commissioning Shane Allen said: "This raft of new and returning comedy series celebrates how successful the comedy on Three remains and is a timely reminder that we're still very much open for comedy business. To have three comedies hit a third series stride is a monumental achievement."
New comedy '600 Days' will join the trio of comedies and has been commissioned for six episodes.
The series follows straight-laced Luke, who is sentenced to two years in a Young Offenders Institution along with his girlfriend's street-smart brother Jason, and must rely on his buddy to help him get through his jail time.
Finally, another new comedy, 'Top Coppers', has received a pilot order from the channel. The 30-minute episode is described as an action comedy about police detectives.
Shane added: "With 'Top Coppers' and '600 Days' we're backing a new wave of talent as both have sublime casts and are exciting additions to the comedy slate on BBC Three."
BBC Three controller Zai Bennett said: "BBC Three is at the heart of new comedy in the UK and is not only still on air, but thriving. These four deliciously different and brilliantly written series and pilot demonstrate our ongoing commitment to bring our viewers more even more cutting edge, exciting and most importantly of all, funny, comedy this year."

EastEnders’ Alfie faces indecent proposal

Alfie Moon will face an indecent proposal from 'EastEnders' newcomer Nicole tonight (20.03.14).
Viewers will be left to wonder whether the soap favourite played by Shane Richie will cheat on his wife Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) - who is pregnant with twins - when he faces a blast from the past.
Alfie, who has been receiving suspicious calls and text messages from someone he met during his recent trip to Australia, is stunned to find blonde beauty Nicole (Tamsin Carroll) on his doorstep and she appears to be smitten with him.
Nicole will lean in for a kiss after removing her coat and revealing a sexy red negligee underneath.
It seems Alfie flirted his way into a £15,000 windfall from Nicole while in Australia, but his escapades will catch up with him back in Walford in what promises to be another dramatic storyline for Kat and Alfie.
Shane told the Daily Star newspaper: "He's done a bit of a dodgy deal which will come back to haunt him. Like anything with Kat and Alfie, there's going to be drama. It will rock the Moon household.
"His wheeling and dealing won't be the only source of drama as fans look forward to seeing how the couple cope with two babies."

Ty Burrell’s kids ‘unimpressed’ with his acting

Ty Burrell's kids are "unimpressed" with his acting.
The 'Modern Family' actor - who raises two daughters with wife Holly - stars in the 'Muppets Most Wanted' as Jean Pierre Napoleon and is planning to "bank this one" and "pull it out in five years" when his kids can appreciate his talent.
Talking at the film's press day in Los Angeles, he told collider.com: "My kids are still so unimpressed by me. I'm banking this one. If I wanna save my ego I'm gonna bank this and pull it out in five years. So far, it's just one minute of, 'Why is daddy on screen?,' and 90 minutes of, 'I'm hungry.' "
Burrell was relieved not have have a huge singing role in the musical movie and claims viewers were saved from hearing his vocals since he was allowed to speak his song instead.
He added: "America, and the world, were spared my singing voice, except for two notes. I don't know if you noticed that, but I think it was by design. I spoke my song, but I was thrilled to do it. I'm a huge fan of [music supervisor] Bret McKenzie."

Scarlett Johansson: Black Widow uses size to her advantage

Scarlett Johansson says Black Widow uses her size to her advantage.
The 29-year-old actress plays the popular Marvel comic book character - who is also known as Natasha Romanoff - in forthcoming 'Captain America: The Winter Solider', and insists her alter-ego's is quick on her feet, which helps her beat her opponent.
Talking at the film's press conference at London's Dorchester Hotel, she told BANG Showbiz: "Part of the Widow's fighting style is she uses her size, what makes her charming, is she uses her size against her opponent and to her advantage. She's fighting these big dudes and she's quick thinking, and quick on her feet. Mouse is hard to catch!"
Johansson claimed actors must be "sympathetic" to their character and make them "likeable" to ensure audiences are satisfied.
She added: "I think any character you play you have to be sympathetic towards because even if it's that's a villainous character, you always have to have a bit of likeability to you. I think this character has a certain unexpected humility to her, she has that soft underbelly, and I have that same soft underbelly!"

Brandi Glanville bans sons from LeAnn’s show

Brandi Glanville has banned her children from appearing on LeAnn Rimes' new TV series.
The country singer and her spouse Eddie Cibrian have signed a deal with VH1 for a semi-reality show, but Mason, 10, and six-year-old Jake - the actor's sons with the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star - won't be appearing, their mother has ruled.
Asked during her recent Podcast One show if the boys will be on the show, Brandi said: "No, no, no, no."
The scripted show, titled 'LeAnn and Eddie', is to be based on the "normal" home life of the couple - who left their respective spouses to embark on a relationship after working together on TV film 'Northern Lights' - as well as dealing with their celebrity status.
Brandi, 41, has had a long-running public feud with 'Spitfire' hitmaker LeAnn, but the pair were thought to have buried the hatchet last year when the singer sent her rival flowers for Mother's Day last May.
And the outspoken reality star previously predicted her acrimonious relationship with LeAnn would drastically improve if the singer got pregnant because it would help her to learn boundaries as a mother and stepmother.
She said: ''Hopefully, they'll have a child of their own and she'll understand better what a proper boundary is for a stepmother and a mother.''

Teen Mom cast want Farrah Abraham axed

The 'Teen Mom' cast want Farrah Abraham axed from the reunion special.
Producers have attempted to "bring the series back" after it finished two years ago, but the cast of young mothers - which include Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout - fear their former co-star's wild antics since the show will have a negative effect on their children.
A source told Us Weekly: "They don't want their kids on a show where someone's talking about sex toys."
Farrah furthered her fame after the show when she released her own sex tape, with porn star James Deen, and further endorsed her porn career by appearing at X-rated events and posing for racy photo shoots before claiming it had ruined her life.
In a bid to change her image, Farrah released a music video on Monday (17.03.14) for a song called 'Blowin' which she intends to be empowering for women.
Speaking of the track, she said:"I want others to see they don't need to be a follower or conform to what others think or do and let them live their lives to their full potential."
Abraham isn't the only star to have faced controversy, as co-star Amber had a string of legal troubles throughout her time on the show, including arrests for drug possession and domestic abuse.

Sean Penn ‘baby-proofs’ home for Charlize’s son

Sean Penn has 'baby-proofed' his Malibu home, fuelling speculation his girlfriend Charlize Theron and her son Jackson are moving in.
Aerial photographs of his property in California show a new fence which has been constructed around the swimming pool in the back garden, along with a trampoline which has been brought in, presumably for the little boy.
The 53-year-old actor has been dating Charlize, who adopted two-year-old Jackson in March 2012, for a few months and they spent the New Year together in Hawaii.
The loved-up couple are thought to have also spoken about marriage, although the actress previously said she's not keen on tying the knot with anyone because it has "never something that was important [to me]."
The pair walked their first red carpet together earlier this month the Fame and Philanthropy Post-Oscar Party held after the 2014 Academy Awards.
A source also told E! News they have been "spending night after night together and moving very fast."
They added: "It seems like it's getting serious and that they can't get enough of each other."
Sean divorced second wife Robin Wright in 2010 after 14 years of marriage, with the pair having a daughter Dylan, 23, and a son Hopper, 20.
He was previously married to Madonna for four years in the 1980s, while Charlize, 38, was in a long-term relationship with Irish actor Stuart Townsend, 41, until 2010.

Professor Green banned from driving

Professor Green has been banned from driving for 12 months.
The 'Just Be Good to Green' hitmaker - whose real name is Stephen Manderson - appeared in Bromley magistrates court today (20.03.14), where he pleaded guilty to drink-driving, and as well as being banned from getting behind the wheel, he was also ordered to pay £525 fine and costs.
The court heard the rapper got behind the wheel after being robbed of his £40,000 watch on the doorstep of his south east London home on November 3 and feared his wife Millie Mackintosh - who accompanied him to the hearing - was being chased by his attacker.
Prosecutor Samantha Mitchell told the court: "The defendant was spoken to and explained he had been looking for the suspect of his robbery. He had driven his car to look for this person and, during the course of looking for this person, he crashed into a parked van, causing damage."
Police realised he was drunk and told him he would have to provide a sample, but, according to the prosecutor, he was "quite hostile" to them and subsequently arrested, where he was found to have driven with 52 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Speaking outside the court, Green blasted police for "wasting time".
He said: "I'm upset that it took this long to get to here. I am however happy we came across a judge who was fair and understanding with the circumstances that led to this - unlike other people we've met along the way.
"The irony of being arrested for perverting the course of justice after admitting to the crime I committed all along is that the lesser charge would have been wasting police time.
"The only people wasting police time was the police."
The 30-year-old star may have his ban cut to nine months after agreeing to take a drink-driver rehabilitation course.
