Guns N’ Roses announce residency

Guns N' Roses will perform nine shows in Las Vegas later this year.
Axl Rose and his bandmates have inked a deal with The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to return for a short residency, dubbed 'No Trickery! An Evening of Destruction,' in May and June.
The 'November Rain' rockers, who previously performed a series of concerts titled 'Appetite for Democracy' at the venue in 2012, will take to the stage at The Joint again on May 21, 24, 25, 28, 30, 31, and June 4, 6 and 7, 2014.
Bobby Reynolds, vice president of booking for concert promoters AEG Live Las Vegas, told USA Today: "If some is good, more is better! That's our take on welcoming back Guns N' Roses (GNR) to The Joint. Our first residency with GNR was fantastic in every way imaginable. The band and the fans loved the venue, and the business was great for everyone else involved. We want all of the Guns N' Roses fans across the globe to come see what one of the iconic rock 'n' roll bands can do when they have the best venue in the world to do it in, in a city made to party. We are gearing up for another epic residency."
Chas Smith, vice president of entertainment for Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, added: "What more can I say than it's a great honour to have one of the most iconic rock 'n' roll bands in the world coming back to rock The Joint for nine more shows! We are all excited about this next run."
The band have sold more than 100 million albums globally since 1985 and released their most recent album 'Chinese Democracy' in 2008.
Tickets start at $49.50 and go on sale next Friday (28.02.4).

Rihanna excited to tour with Eminem

Rihanna can't wait to go on tour with Eminem.
The rapper announced he is embarking on a three-city US tour with the 26-year-old singer, whom he has collaborated with three times in the past, on 'The Monster' and on two versions of 'Love the Way You Lie', this summer.
The 41-year-old star told XXL magazine on Friday (21.02.14): "There are some shows coming up with Rihanna. It's a three-city tour: New York, Los Angeles and Detroit coming in August. The Monster Tour."
Rihanna later shared her excitement about their upcoming performances on Twitter, writing: "@Eminem: NYC/DET/LA this August with @Rihanna! #TheMonsterTour - OH IM THERE!!!!!"
The Barbados-born beauty opened up about why she loves working with the rapper during an interview with Complex magazine last month.
She said: "The moment I worked with him on 'Love the Way You Lie,' I wanted to work with him again, and we did 'Love the Way You Lie Part 2.'
"And then I wanted to work with him again. I just love working with Eminem. He's just one of my favourite rappers, and his lyrics - he's a true poet, and I enjoy that about him. For this song, I needed someone with not only his skill, but his personality. And I needed someone who really understands the perspective and the metaphor in the song of going numb and being numb to everything around and to say, 'F**k you.' Eminem is definitely the perfect guy for that."

Jaime King hosts baby blessing

Jaime King hosted a star-studded baby blessing for her four-month-old son.
The 'Hart of Dixie' star, who welcomed her first son, James, into the world with her husband, Kyle Newman, in October, was joined by the tot's new godparents, Jessica Alba and Topher Grace, for the special bash at her home in Los Angeles on Thursday (20.02.14).
The 34-year-old actress shared a picture from the occasion on Instagram, which shows 'Fantastic Four' star Jessica, 32, holding James beside his happy parents and former 'That 70s Show' star Topher, 35.
She captioned the photograph: "Life is a constant gift. Our baby blessing this evening for our son #JamesKnightNewman with our beloved godparents @tophergrace and @jessicaalba with daddy @Kyle_newman - we love you!"
The blonde beauty previously admitted becoming a mother last year was "overwhelming."
She said: "I'm not adjusted! It's tough. It's the greatest blessing I've ever had in life and also one of the most overwhelming things I've ever experienced."
She added: "Finding the balance between work and taking care of my child is tough. I'm from the mid-west so for me, it's all about family and it's always been about family. That's my challenge. I don't want to leave my child at all!"

Liam Neeson is glad he wasn’t a famous teen

Liam Neeson is glad he wasn't famous as a teenager.
The 'Non-Stop' star, who has sons, Michael, 19, and Daniel, 18, with his late wife Natasha Richardson, believes he has managed to avoid battles with drugs and alcohol, unlike many of his peers, because he only found fame when he was in his thirties.
The 61-year-old star told the UK's Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I didn't come out to Hollywood until I was 35. I wasn't 16 or 17 and I was never on the booze or into the drug culture. I had a little bit of maturity."
Liam, who grew up in Ballymena in County Antrim, still feels a strong connection to Ireland despite moving to New York City in 1987 and becoming an American citizen.
He said: "There's an old expression that says you can take the Irishman out of the bog but you can't take the bog out of the Irishman. I'm very much from that school and although America's my home and where I'm raising my kids, Ireland is still a spiritual home."
The 'Taken 2' star has recently carved out a career as an action hero but admits he would like to return to his theatre roots soon.
He said: "I love being where I am at the moment and I feel very blessed. But I'm very proud of my theatre roots because I think they gave me a physical discipline and the training for repetition. Some directors like to do numerous takes, which I am not a fan of, but if it comes to it I can do it because that's what you do in the theatre, eight times a week. And I miss it. I would like to get back on stage again.
"But it's nice to beat up people in movies, mind you. It's satisfying."

Russell Crowe devastated by friend’s death

Russell Crowe is devastated after his close friend Charlotte Dawson's sudden death.
The 'Noah' star broke down in tears after learning that the Australian television personality and presenter, who had a long history of depression, was found dead at her home in Sydney on Saturday morning (22.02.14) and police are not treating her death as suspicious.
The 49-year-old star also wrote on Twitter: "Charley D...Just don't understand. There's not enough kind souls as it is. Rest in peace. (sic)"
The Oscar-winning actor, who had known the 'Australia's Next Top Model' judge since he was a teenager as they were both raised in New Zealand before moving to Australia, was with his sons, Charles, 10, and Tennyson, seven, and friends at the Sienna Marina restaurant at Finger Wharf, Woolloomooloo in Sydney when he was told of the blonde beauty's death by their mutual friend Jonathan Marshall, according to the Herald Sun newspaper.
Another of Charlotte's friends told Sydney's Daily Telegraph that she had been "in the worst shape emotionally" in recent days.
A security guard found the presenter dead in her apartment building when an estate agent trying to get in touch with the former model asked him to check if she was home.
Another insider said: "She was in very bad shape. Terrible shape."

Snooki is reportedly pregnant again.
The former 'Jersey Shore' star, who has an 18-month-old son, Lorenzo, with her fiancé Jionni LaValle, is rumoured to be expecting their second child later this year, but is desperate to keep the news a secret.
A source told the New York Post's Page Six that the 26-year-old star is already a few months pregnant but doesn't want it to affect her lucrative personal appearances.
A spokesperson for Snooki declined to comment.
Snooki, whose best friend JWoww is also pregnant, previously admitted she was eager to expand her family.
She said: "Right when I get married I want to have my second kid right away. I want like three more. I want like the Brady Bunch. I think it's because I'm an only child and I never really had anyone to play around with so I want a big family."
Earlier this week, the reality TV star - real name Nicole Polizzi - revealed she is planning to have a 'Great Gatsby' themed wedding.
Although she wants her big day to be special, the star is not going to spend a fortune on her wedding and is going to cut costs where she can.

Chris Brown extends rehab stay

Chris Brown is extending his stay in rehab.
The 'Fine China' singer recently completed his court-ordered 90 days in a treatment facility in a bid to overcome his anger management issues but has decided to stay there for further treatment.
A source close to the 24-year-old singer told E! News: "It was his choice. He will come out soon."
The star voluntarily checked himself into rehab in Malibu, California in October after being accused of assaulting Parker Adams, who is suing the singer and his bodyguard for $3 million, in Washington D.C., but he was kicked out after throwing a rock through his mother Joyce's car window.
The R&B singer was then ordered to seek anger management at a different facility instead of being sentenced to jail when his probation, stemming from his violent assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, was formally revoked as a result of the alleged assault.
Chris and his bodyguard's criminal trials are set to begin on April 17.
The 'Forever' hitmaker has been granted permission to leave rehab to attend several events recently, including a celebration to honour his work with LA community group 2nd Call and his Symphonic Love Foundation and Unity Campaign on Friday night (21.02.14).
A source said he stayed for more than two hours, appeared to be in "good spirits" and warmly greeted people who came to his table.

Jake Gyllenhaal reunites with Alyssa Miller

Jake Gyllenhaal and Alyssa Miller are back together.
The 'End of Watch' star, 33, ended his six-month relationship with the 24-year-old model in December after they struggled to cope with him relocating to Los Angeles from New York to shoot his upcoming film 'Nightcrawler,' but they really missed each other.
A source told UsMagazine.com: "It has been less than two weeks so it is new again."
The couple were in regular contact throughout their time apart, and another insider said: "They were still talking during the break. When he was done with 'Nightcrawler' he was spending a lot of time by himself and with his family over the holidays and he missed her."
Jake pulled the plug on his romance with the Sports Illustrated beauty before Christmas, as they could no longer handle having a long distance relationship.
A source previously said said: "(Jake) was very taken with [Miller], but I think their work definitely drew them apart. I know people are bummed, because many thought he had a chance this time."
The couple first started dating in June after they met at their gym in New York.
The 'Brokeback Mountain' actor has dated a slew of fellow A-list stars in the past including Reese Witherspoon, Kirsten Dunst, Minka Kelly and singer Taylor Swift.

Billy Bob Thornton never wanted to be an actor

Billy Bob Thornton didn't want to be an actor.
The 'Monsters Ball' star has been acting for four decades now and has appeared alongside fellow actors including Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck in films such as 'Armageddon' but claims he never dreamed of becoming an actor when he was child, but rather inspired to be a musician or a sportsman.
He told Total Film magazine: "I didn't want to become an actor, I didn't know anything about it. I wanted to be in a rock'n'roll band, I wanted to pitch for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. I was a baseball player and a musician; that's all I ever wanted."
The 58-year-old actor who has been married five times - including a two-year marriage to his 'Pushing Tin' co-star Angelina Jolie - also admitted that he first got into acting so he could meet women.
He added: "I was only in the drama class because there were a lot of chicks in there!"
Thornton - who is originally from Arkansas in the southern United States - also spoke about an acting class he took when he was younger and said the teachers predicted he would be successful.
He said: "In 1980, we went to California, and I got in an acting class there and the acting teacher told me the same thing that my drama teacher had told me in the 12th grade. He said, "I really believe you're going to be standing on the stage with a statue in your hand one day.'"

Nina Nesbitt ‘feels sorry’ for ‘nasty’ online trolls

Nina Nesbitt "feels sorry" for horrible online trolls with nothing better to do.
The 'Selfies' singer admitted she has had her fair share of abuse on social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook, but insisted it tables can be turned quickly if you have "a good comeback".
She told BANG Showbiz: "I've had a few trolls in my internet time. Sometimes if I'm in a bad mood I'll reply sarcastically, other times I just think they want attention and I won't reply.
"Generally when people are being horrible, they're just being horrible because they want attention, I just feel sorry for people who spend their time sending online abuse to people who are doing what they love.
"I think everyone has got an opinion and that's fine, and everyone can voice their opinion but someone is downright nasty about it there's just not really any point getting involved it. Sometimes if you come back with a good comeback that can be good."
The 19-year-old songstress insisted while social media can be "positive", it can also mean people can forget "how to socialise in real life".
She said: "I think social media is double edged. It's mostly positive but it can become a bit of an obsession for people.
"You can start to live your life through this fake persona that you've created online and it's something that's not really reality. The internet has become such an available thing now and everyone uses it.
"A few people, including myself sometimes, have actually forgotten how to socialise in real life and actually go out and talk to real people instead of just sitting with your phone and scroll through the internet. It can become a bit full on I think."
