Alex Turner was nervous during BRITs speech

Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner was "nervous" delivering his BRITs acceptance speech.
The frontman, whose band picked up awards for Best Group and Best Album for their record 'AM' last week, ranted on stage that rock 'n' roll will "never die" but claims he was just worried about speaking in front of a large audience.
He told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: "In public I'm a quiet guy, so doing anything in front of lots of people always makes me nervous.
"I'm known for my music, not how well I deliver a speech. People always assume if you're in a band that's been on the scene for ages that you're going to be really confident, but that's not true at all."
The band - including Jamie Cook, Nick O'Malley and Matt Helders - also performed on the night, after which Alex, 28, accepted the accolades.
He told the crowd: "Rock'n' roll, it just won't go away. It might hibernate from time to time, sink back into the swamp. I think the cyclical nature of the universe in which it exists demands it adheres to some of its rules.
He added: "But it's always waiting there, just around the corner, ready to make its way back through the sludge and smash through the glass ceiling, looking better than ever."

Mel C: I get lonely

Mel C has confessed she gets "lonely" since her 10-year relationship ended.
The 40-year-old singer has been single since splitting from Thomas Starr, the father of her five-year-old daughter Scarlet, 18 months ago, and though she was "relieved" when their relationship ended, she admits life alone can be tough.
She said: "At first it was hard because obviously when a relationship comes to an end there are reasons for that.
"Initially I was just quite relieved we had taken that step and changed the environment.
"But as time goes on, there are times when it's tough, whether it's night time or disciplining - certain things when you're on your own, no matter how much help you get, can feel quite lonely."
Former Spice Girls star Mel - who has been linked with DJ Greg Burns and singer Matt Cardle since splitting from Thomas - is open to falling in love again, but will always put her daughter before a man.
Speaking to the new UK issue of HELLO! magazine, she said: "I've had some fun times being single, but it would be nice to meet someone now. It's really hard to meet someone though and being a single mum complicates things. I don't want to introduce Scarlet to someone inappropriate or who I'm not sure about.
"I'd really like to meet someone who had a similar lifestyle or balance to me - who likes having fun, but is into exercise and nutrition."

Amanda Seyfried to star in Ted 2

Amanda Seyfried will star in 'Ted 2'.
The actress has been cast as the girlfriend of lead character John Bennett, played by Mark Wahlberg.
The same role was taken by Mila Kunis in the first film - which saw her character, Lori, marry John at the end - but she will only have a small role, or will not appear at all in the sequel, according to Deadline.com.
The reason for the change of female lead has been put down to a creative decision by Seth MacFarlane, the movie's creator, who will produce, write and co-star in the sequel as the titular character, a foul-mouthed teddy bear who has been brought to life by John.
'Les Miserables' star Amanda has previously said she will go to great lengths to get film roles, and is not above "begging" for a part she wants
She said: "Three years ago, a director told me I wasn't made for a certain role and he didn't want to meet me. I called up the casting director and begged him to let me have a trial. I went and he once again told me it was a no.
"I contacted an acting coach, which I never normally do, and went back in a different outfit and did the audition in a different accent, begging them to see me another time. They gave the role to someone else: but it didn't matter, I just wanted to be sure I had done my best. It's my biggest strength: not being scared of doing castings that some actresses think they're above. I had five auditions for 'Les Miserables'! Of course, I would never go as far as getting undressed to land a role."

Robin Thicke’s marriage in trouble for a while?

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton's marriage was "unravelling for a long time".
The 'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol' actress and her husband of almost nine years announced they have separated yesterday (24.02.14), but friends claim they predicted the split.
A source told UsMagazine.com: "It has been a long time coming. It is not a shock to Robin or Paula, and it is something they have discussed for a long time."
Another insider said: "Their marriage was unravelling for a long time."
Rumours that Robin had cheated on his wife date back as far as last August, but none have ever been acknowledged by the 'Blurred Lines' star. Notably, he was photographed with his hand on the bottom of a fan, Lana Scolaro, in September, and she claimed he had also kissed her at the same party in New York City.
Robin, 36, and Paula, 38, had put on a united front despite the rumours, making frequent public appearances together.
Speaking to Prestige Hong Kong magazine last September, Paula said of her husband: "I've been there for his down moments and he's been there for mine. Life is full of peaks and valleys. Robin has always been a great person to remind me to celebrate now."
The couple - who have a three-year-old son, Julian Fuego Thicke - said in a statement announcing their split they will always "be best friends," but "have mutually decided to separate at this time."

Miley Cyrus won’t appear in Peter Pan

Miley Cyrus would rather "choke on her own tongue" than appear in 'Peter Pan'.
The 'Wrecking Ball' singer read in a magazine how her short hairstyle makes her the perfect choice to play the fairy Tinker Bell from J.M. Barrie's book 'Peter Pan' - which is currently being adapted into a new movie - but she wasn't impressed.
She posted a picture of the article on Twitter and wrote next to it: "I would rather choke on my own tongue."
Miley, 21, is currently on her Bangerz Tour, which came to Los Angeles on Saturday (22.02.14) and proved an eventful night. After spotting fellow singer Katy Perry in the front row, she went over to her and they briefly locked lips.
'Dark Horse' singer Katy shared a photograph taken as they pulled away from each other on Twitter, which showed Miley with her mouth hanging open in shock while she covered her own mouth with her hand, with the caption: "And after! I adore you @Miley Cyrus."
Miley's butt shaking and revealing outfits have attracted criticism for being too raunchy for her young fan base, but she hit back against the claims last week.
She tweeted on Thursday (20.02.14): "You can't say I didn't warn you. Now sit back relax & enjoy the show. #bangerztour (sic)"
The tweet was accompanied by a picture of Miley on stage in a revealing outfit exposing her bottom.
She also quipped: "Save your complaints for the McDonalds drive thru when they forget the 'fries with that' (sic)"

Amanda Bynes reaches DUI plea deal

Amanda Bynes reached a plea deal in her driving under the influence (DUI) case yesterday (24.02.14).
The 'Hairspray' actress - who has recently been treated for schizophrenia - faced the charges from 2012, but her lawyer managed to get the DUI charge dropped so she could plead no contest to a lesser charge of alcohol-related reckless driving.
Although she has escaped jail and a large fine, Amanda will now have to undergo three years of probation and must attend three months of alcohol education classes.
Her lawyer, Richard Hutton, told newspaper The New York Daily News: "She's doing very well. This case took some unexpected turns, but it's resolved. Everything is going just like it should."
Amanda completed psychiatric treatment for both schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in December and is now living with her parents in Thousand Oaks, California, under a mental health conservatorship.
The 27-year-old star's mother, Lynn Bynes, is her temporary conservator - meaning she has control of Amanda's personal and financial affairs - and a judge overseeing her conservator duties recently praised her for her daughter's continued progress during a hearing.
A source recently told how Amanda's parents are thrilled her life is more stable, but don't think she is ready to move out of their home yet, even though she is eager to get her own place.
The insider said: "It's not likely she will be moving out of their house for at least the next several months."

Will Ferrell gets carried away with Lego

Will Ferrell gets carried away when building Lego.
The actor - who voices two charters in 'The Lego Movie' - loves to play with the children's building blocks, which are sold in sets allowing users to build intricate designs such as cars, boats and jets, but admits he sometimes gets a little too engrossed in the building.
Will - who is father to Magnus, nine, Mattias, seven, and Axel, four, with his wife Viveca Paulin - said: "I have had moments where I have sat down to help my son build the Millennium Falcon [craft from 'Star Wars'] and have literally told him to leave the room because I have to finish this one part. He can join me later. And I literally build it like for an hour. But then it's like, 'My God, what am I doing?' "
The funnyman also admits he gets the same desires to then smash his creations back into pieces that his children have.
He added to USA Today newspaper: "There is a part of me that wants to re-create the picture we see on the box of whatever we bought. There's a certain feeling of accomplishment to build the perfect Eiffel Tower. And yet smashing that thing to the ground and starting from scratch, that should be supported, as well."
Will is not the only star to enjoy Lego, as retired soccer star David Beckham has recently admitted he likes to play with the blocks, and they help to "calm him down" after a stressful day at work.

Olivia Wilde’s baby ‘almost cooked’

Olivia Wilde has joked her baby is "almost cooked".
The 'Tron: Legacy' star is pregnant with her first child with fiancé Jason Sudeikis and is excited about the impending arrival, which is just over two months away.
Next to a picture of her cradling her bump on Facebook, she wrote: "Sure I've looked like this after Mexican food but this time it's a BABY. #almostcooked #nineweekstogo #holyfu&$ (sic)"
Olivia, 29 - who is expecting a boy - has previously said she loves her pregnant body, saying: "It's great - I've never had boobs before!"
However, earlier in her pregnancy Olivia was a little annoyed with her changing figure because people kept thinking she had just put on some extra pounds, instead of realising she was pregnant.
She said in January: "Until about a week ago, I just looked fat! I wanted to be like, 'I'm not fat, I'm pregnant!'
"I find that people will go to such great lengths to not mention it. People will be like, 'Hey would you like a glass of whiskey?' Or, 'You want to get on this roller coaster?' And I'm like, 'Oh well I'm actually pregnant.' And they go, 'What!?'
"I think it's because unless someone is watching you give birth they don't want to make the wrong call, because that's the worst thing in the world - when you congratulate a non-pregnant woman on her pregnancy."

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton split

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton have split.
The 'Blurred Lines' hitmaker and his actress wife have decided to end their marriage after almost nine years together.
In a joint statement to People.com, they said: "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."
Robin, 36, and Paula, 38, first met when they were teenagers and married in 2005. They have one son together, Julian Fuego Thicke, three.
The split comes after Robin was seen dancing closely with a mystery woman after a performance at Club 79 in Paris in January.
In September last year another woman, Lana Scolaro, claimed Robin had kissed her at a party in New York.
She said: "I went to the bathroom, and when I came out he was standing there ... He turned off the lights so no one could see us, and he started making out with me. He was grabbing me. He was like, 'I want to get you into bed' ... His hands were everywhere."
The 'Give it 2 U' star was also photographed with his hand on Lana's bottom, reflected in a mirror.
Paula previously said she and Robin argued, but remained committed to each other.
She said: "Listen, we have fun, but like every couple, we have our ups and downs. Nothing is perfect, but we're very happy. He's my best friend."

Dan Aykroyd leads tributes to Harold Ramis

Dan Aykroyd has led tributes to his 'Ghostbusters' co-star Harold Ramis.
Actor, director and writer Harold passed away earlier this morning (24.02.14), and Dan - who co-wrote as well as starred in both 'Ghostbusters' and 'Ghostbusters II' with him - led condolences.
He said in an email message: "Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my brilliant, gifted, funny friend, co-writer/performer and teacher Harold Ramis. May he now get the answers he was always seeking."
Ivan Reitman, director of the two movies, also paid tribute, saying: "The world has lost a wonderful, truly original, comedy voice with the passing of Harold Ramis.
"He possessed the most agile mind I've ever witnessed. He always had the clearest sense of what was funny and how to create something in a new clever way ... Harold had an extraordinary impact on my career and I loved him like a brother."
Harold worked on many other films as writer and director in his career including 'Caddyshack', 'Groundhog Day,' 'Analyze This' and 'Animal House', making a huge impact in Hollywood.

Film director Ron Howard also paid tribute, saying: "Harold Ramis RIP. no one could ever top him in terms of somehow being Cool & off-the-charts creative and incredibly kind & gracious. (sic)"
Some of Harold's last work was directing episodes of the US version of 'The Office', prompting one of the show's stars, Rainn Wilson to write: "Was honored to have gotten to work with Harold Ramis, the Buddha of Comedy. Brilliant, humble, radiant. We've lost an icon."
Another one of the show's former stars, Steve Carell, wrote: "Harold Ramis. Funny, gracious, kind hearted. A joy to have known you."
Harold is survived by his wife, Erica Mann Ramis, their two sons, Julian and Daniel as well as his daughter, Violet Ramis, with former spouse Anne Plotkin.

Harold Ramis dies

'Ghostbusters' star Harold Ramis has died aged 69.
The actor and director - best known for his role as Egon Spengler in the 1984 comedy, which he also wrote, with Dan Aykroyd - passed away in the early hours of this morning (24.02.14) after suffering autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis for a number of years.
Although he is best remembered on-screen for his roles in 'Ghostbusters' and its 1989 sequel, Harold had been a leading figure in comedy since the 70s, directing 'Caddyshack', 'Groundhog Day' and 'National Lampoon's Vacation'.
He also co-wrote the iconic 1978 film 'National Lampoon's Animal House', and later 1999s 'Analyse This' and 2002s 'Analyze That', starring Robert De Niro, which he also directed.
Harold continued to act in recent years, with parts in 'Knocked Up', 'Airheads' and Oscar-winner 'As Good As it Gets' and he had also directed episodes of the US version of 'The Office' for network NBC.
Harold had been a member of improvisation group Second City in his native Chicago, where he met John Belushi and Bill Murray, whom he would later go on to work closely with.
Harold said his work had been inspired by the Marx brothers and a job he briefly held working at a mental institution in Missouri.
He said: "It prepared me for when I went out to Hollywood to work with actors. And not just with actors. It was good training for just living in the world."
Harold is survived by his wife, Erica Mann Ramis, their two sons, Julian and Daniel as well as his daughter, Violet Ramis, with former spouse Anne Plotkin.
