Paul McCartney made Drenge nervous at NME Awards

Drenge were nervous about performing in front of Sir Paul McCartney at the NME Awards last night (26.02.14).
The two-piece grunge band - made up of brothers Eoin and Rory Loveless - took to the stage at the O2 Academy Brixton in London and Eoin admitted he was worried about playing as The Beatles legend looked on.
Speaking before their performance, Eoin told BANG Showbiz: "Well, everyone is a musician [in the audience] aren't they? Everyone's got their music taste we just have to do what we do and if Paul McCartney doesn't like it we'll just have to live with that. This is the highest concentration of musicians we've ever played in front of."
The 'Bloodsports' singers were up for Best Live Band, but lost out to the Arctic Monkeys, and Eoin insists they couldn't have put bets on who would win, saying: "I don't think you can even bet on our category."
Although the duo weren't bothered about walking away from the ceremony with a prize, one of their competitive friends was desperate for them to be victorious.
Eoin said: "We've got a competitive mate with us in the band and he's been just so annoying about the ward. Any chance to wind us up or get us agitated he went for it."
Other performances on the night came from Blondie - who won the Godlike Genius Award - The Horrors and Metronomy, who opened the show along with MKS with 'Love Letters', which is from their forthcoming new album of the same name.

Charlotte Church music video shoot attracts one fan

Charlotte Church was left red-faced when only one fan turned up to star in her new music video.
The 28-year-old put out an open call to her thousands of fans on Facebook and Twitter to join her in Cardiff, Wales, on the set of her 'Little Movements' video recently, however, she had to resort to asking nearby shoppers to assist her after only one person - a professional TV extra - showed up.
'Casualty' extra Julian Gillard, 42, was the sole person to answer Charlotte's call, travelling 40 miles to star in the music video in a bid to boost his career.
The 'Crazy Chick' singer had to rope in reluctant shoppers and stallholders to join her in the video in Cardiff's city centre, telling them to "dance like no one's watching".
Market stall holder Stuart Talbot told WalesOnline: "I got to dance with Charlotte Church. There's not many men who can say that."
Charlotte had previously put a call out to her 70,000 Twitter followers to star in her music video.
She wrote: "Yo! People of Caaaaaaardiff! I'm filming a music video this Saturday for my new single 'Little Movements'. I want as many of you beauts in it as possible! (sic)"

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge searching for new nanny

Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are reconsidering hiring a nanny.
The couple have allegedly been asking around London's biggest childminder agencies for a potential candidate to help look after their seven-month-old son George, despite initially insisting they didn't want outside help.
Prince William and Duchess Catherine were being assisted part-time by Jessie Webb, 71, who was nanny to William during his childhood, until she gave in her notice last month.
The MailOnline is reporting that the royals are desperately in need of an extra pair of hands with their official visit to Australia and New Zealand approaching in April.
The paper writes that one company being considered is the upmarket Nannies of St James, based in Fulham, which caters to some of the world's most wealthy clients including Middle Eastern royal families.
However, a spokesperson for Kensington Palace said: "We do not discuss personal arrangements, but we are not using Nannies of St James at present, nor do we plan to."
It was thought that Catherine's mother Carole Middleton would join them on their tour Down Under in order to look after her grandchild.
A source previously explained: "They don't want just anyone helping out in Australia and think Carole would be perfect."

Viewers complain about Coronation Street gay kiss

'Coronation Street' has sparked outrage over a gay kiss scene.
The ITV soap featured a raunchy half-naked embrace between Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley) and Marcus Dent (Charlie Condou) last week, which caused around 100 viewers to complain to Ofcom because the "sexually suggestive" scene aired before 8pm when many children were watching.
The steamy episode saw openly gay Todd finally seduce Marcus after pursuing him for weeks and the pair were shown heading into the bedroom after kissing on the sofa.
While most of the complaints were about the risqué scene being broadcast before the watershed, some were more homophobic in content.
Ofcom has now confirmed to the Daily Star newspaper that it received a number of complaints and it will assess whether any broadcasting guidelines had been broken.
An insider insisted to the paper: "The vast majority of the audience have no trouble with this. It's real."
This isn't the first time Todd has caused controversy on the show, emerging as Weatherfield's first gay character and initially leaving the street in 2005 after he came out to then girlfriend Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien).

Rihanna back in touch with Chris Brown

Rihanna and Chris Brown "haven't stopped" texting since her birthday.
The 'Diamonds' singer - who was recently seen partying with another former boyfriend, Drake, in Paris - has reportedly caused friends to "freak out" as they are concerned she is planning to renew her romance with the 'Yeah 3x' hitmaker, even though she initially snubbed his messages.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Chris started texting Rihanna on her birthday, February 20, and the two have been sending each other a flurry of texts ever since.
"Rihanna didn't write back right away . . . but later that night she started getting sentimental and texted back, 'thank you,' and asked how he was.
"Since then, the two haven't stopped texting each other and friends are freaked out that she's going to start dating him again."
Chris - who recently underwent a 90-day rehab programme for anger management - first split from Rihanna in 2009 after he violently assaulted her, but they then had an on/off relationship after her restraining order against him expired two years later.
Following their separation, the 'Only Girl in the World' hitmaker romanced Drake, and in 2012, he got into a club row with Chris after sending him a note reading "I'm f***ing the love of your life."

Lisa Kudrow loses court case

Lisa Kudrow has been ordered to pay her former manager $1.6 million.
The former 'Friends' actress lost a lawsuit yesterday (26.02.14) which had been brought by Scott Howard, who claimed she owed him a five per cent cut from her earnings due to an oral agreement they entered in 1991,
The jury in Los Angeles Superior Court agreed with Scott and ordered the 50-year-old actress to pay him the huge sum in residuals.
However, Lisa plans to appeal the decision.
Her lawyer Gerald Sauer said: "The jury's verdict is merely one step in the legal process. This case ultimately will be resolved at the appellate level. Ms. Kudrow has faith in the judicial system, and she believes that the eventual outcome of this contractual dispute will be in her favour."
Her former manager's legal representatives insist there is "no chance" the appeal would be supported.
Scott's lead attorney Mark Baute said: "What generally happens now with unsophisticated actress clients is they overpay for filing a frivolous appeal that has no chance for success.
"The verdict is rock solid, and we look forward to collecting 10 percent, $16,000 a month, in post-judgment interest while their frivolous appeal is pending. We will collect that interest for two years, which is how long it will take for the Court of Appeal to affirm this jury's righteous verdict."
Scott first sued his former client in 2008, months after she fired him, as he was seeking a percentage of her earnings from syndication of 'Friends'.
During that court case, it emerged that Lisa was initially paid $13,5000 for her role as Phoebe Buffay in the sitcom, which later rose to a staggering $1.04 million per episode plus $5 million in other compensation.
In the 16 years he worked for the actress, it is estimated Scott made a huge $11 million in commission.

Beyoncé splashes out £700 at McDonald’s

Beyoncé spent £700 at McDonald's after her concert in Manchester.
The 'Drunk in Love' singer splashed out at the fast food chain following her performance in North West England on Tuesday (25.02.14) night, and ordered so much, other customers were left hungry.
Local resident Helen Nugent said: "I'd stopped off on my way home from the theatre to buy a cheeseburger at McDonald's as I was feeling peckish.
"The lovely girl at the till looked a bit shell-shocked and I soon found out why - she told me, 'Oh my god, I've just done an order for £700 for Beyonce's 11 tour buses.'"
The 32-year-old star and her dancers worked up an appetite at the Phones 4 U Arena performing tracks such as 'XO' and 'Haunted' from her latest album 'Beyoncé' and hit singles from the past including 'Single Ladies' and 'Irreplaceable', but made sure to keep some of their order healthy.
Helen told Mancunian Matters: "She then went on to tell me, 'I made 50 portions of large fries and 22 boxes of Chicken McNuggets. 22! And 26 Big Macs! There are a lot of dancers on her tour, you'd think they eat healthily. Mind you, they did order a lot of salad.'
"I felt a bit of a twit after that, just asking for a solitary cheeseburger."
Beyoncé has been known to spoil her tour crew before, splashing out £1,444 on a take-away from peri-peri chicken restaurant Nando's after her headline set at V Festival last summer.

Michael Fassbender, Bradley Cooper and Jared Leto take mums to Oscars

Michael Fassbender, Bradley Cooper and Jared Leto will take their mother's to the Oscars.
The Academy-Award nominees have ditched their girlfriends in favour of their mums as a hot date for the glitzy ceremony on Sunday (02.03.14) with Michael,36, flying his parents over from Ireland especially for the event.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "[Michael's] parents are on their way from Kerry.
"He has been seeing model Madalina Ghenea recent months but won't be walking the red carpet with her."
Meanwhile, Bradley's girlfriend of a year Suki Waterhouse won't feel too left out when he attends the prestigious ceremony with his mother, as the couple are tipped to meet later on in the evening.
Jared - who has received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role as as a HIV-positive transsexual in 'Dallas Buyers Club' - will be looking to his mother,Constance, for support on the night and reportedly invited her via a video call earlier this week.
The 42-year-old star previously credited his mum for his success and said he likes taking her to red carpet events as a way of thanking her.
He said: "We were born very poor and into pretty humble surroundings. My mother always wanted to do something better with her life and for her children.
"She was a dreamer and a worker. The biggest lesson she taught me was to dream and then to do the work that it takes to make dreams a reality. It has been fun to bring her around.
"The best part of these opportunities to stand up and say something is to be able to thank the people who have believed in you for so long. I could spend every single one of these events thanking my mother. She's the best."

Ant McPartlin wears white pants on TV

Ant McPartlin won't go on live TV without white underpants on.
The 'Saturday Night Takeaway' host - better known as one half of presenting duo Ant and Dec - claims to have never made a live appearance in 25 years without donning his "lucky" underwear.
He said: "I like to wear a white pair of briefs for luck. Never a coloured brief.
"Next time you're watching me you'll think, 'He's got white briefs on.' "
Ant's presenting partner, Declan Donnelly, insists he has no lucky rituals.
He said: "I have none. Superstitions that is, not briefs."
The pair - who live four doors apart on the same street - are such close friends that even their pet dogs are best pals.
Dec said: "We had a bit of time off last summer so we thought it would be good to get dogs and spend time with them while they were puppies. Now our dogs are best mates."
Ant added: "It's funny because mine is a chocolate Lab called Hurley and his is a dachshund called Rocky. The size difference is ridiculous. They are best friends.
"They love each other. I can't walk past his house now without Hurley pulling me off to try and go in."

Emmerdale’s Lisa and Belle Dingle struggle with murder

'Emmerdale's' Lisa Dingle will struggle with her daughter Belle's shocking murder confession next week.
The soap favourite, played by Jane Cox, will convince the schoolgirl to keep quiet about her involvement in Gemma Andrews' death after Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) confesses all to her mother.
Gemma (Tendai Rinomhota) hit her head on a rock after being shoved by her best friend in a heated row recently, and Belle is overcome with guilt as she realises she's responsible for her pal's death.
Eden told Inside Soap magazine: "The guilt is eating away at Belle and she wants to own up to what she's done.
"When Lisa confronts Belle she starts sobbing and ends up blurting out that she killed Gemma. It's horrific.
"Belle has killed her best friend and feels that she deserves to be punished. She wants to go to the police and say, 'Look, I've done it - lock me up', but Lisa has to protect her family and she certainly doesn't want Belle to go to prison."
However, Belle will continue to be consumed by guilt as Gemma dies in hospital after succumbing to her head injuries.
Eden said: "Belle didn't intentionally mean to hurt Gemma. Gemma got straight back up when Belle pushed her and even told her to get out of her life. It only hits home to Belle that she's at fault when Gemma is eventually found."

Louis Tomlinson makes Doncaster Rovers debut

Over 5,000 fans turned up to watch Louis Tomlinson make his professional soccer debut.
The One Direction singer was supported by hoards of screaming girls when he took to the pitch at Keepmoat Stadium, South Yorkshire, to play his first official game for Doncaster Rovers reserve team last night (26.02.14).
Despite only playing for 15 minutes when he was called on as a sub for the club in their match against Rotherham, Louis drew an international audience with fans flying from as far afield as the US and Mexico to catch a glimpse of the pop pin-up.
Security was forced to step in when the overexcited girls rushed out of their seats as Louis trotted onto the pitch at the 64th minute, and were sternly warned the 'Kiss You' singer wouldn't play unless they remained calm.
The disappointing 0-0 draw was lost on the eager 'Directioners' as they screeched encouragement whenever their hero took the ball and booed opponents who tackled it from him.
Meanwhile, Louis' girlfriend Eleanor Calder had pride of place in the box and looked on patiently as the heartthrob, who joined as a non-contract player for the team last summer, posed for photos with his loyal devotees after the game.
Proceeds from the Final Third Development League match - which normally draws a mere 100 supporters - went to local charity, the Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.
The 22-year-old star later tweeted: "Wow what an incredible experience. Can't put into words how I feel 🙂 I will never forget pulling on my own Doncaster Rovers shirt!!"
While Louis is unlikely to be a permanent fixture on the pitch due to his touring commitments with bandmates Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne, his appearance raised much-needed funds for Bluebell hospice, of which he serves as a patron.
