Prince William’s former Polo coach has passed away

Britain's Prince William's former polo teacher has died.
Carlos Gracida - who taught both the Duke of Cambridge and his brother Prince Harry how to play the sport - passed away on Tuesday night (25.02.14) following an accident in Florida.
The incident took place at the Everglades Polo Club in Wellington in Palm Beach County, when another player accidentally swung his mallet at Carlos' horse causing the animal to kick out in shock and fall on his owner, who had fallen to the ground.
The award-winning polo player suffered bleeding and swelling on the brain and never regained consciousness.
Carlos was often described as Queen Elizabeth's favourite player and was a regular instructor for celebrities and royalty having taught Prince Charles and his sons, William and Harry, as well as Greece's King Constantine II and 'Rocky' actor Sylvester Stallone.
Speaking about teaching the princes, he said previously: "My experience with the Royal Family was really something very special because they are true princes."
His sons Carlos Jr and Mariano and his brother Memo, all professional polo players themselves, were at his hospital bedside when he passed away.

Lily Allen avoids awards hangovers

Lily Allen doesn't get "mashed" at awards ceremonies since becoming a mother.
The 'Air Balloon' singer was a winner at the NME Awards in London on Wednesday night (26.02.14), taking home the Best Solo Artist prize but she insisted she wouldn't be celebrating by hitting the booze because she is more responsible now she's a parent to daughters Ethel, two, and 15-month-old Marnie.
Speaking on the red carpet at the event at the O2 Brixton Academy, she told BANG Showbiz: "It's great to be here, it's a cool ceremony. I think all awards ceremonies have different things going for them and this is the one to get mashed at, which I won't be doing by the way as a mother of two. I will enjoy watching other people doing it ... Maybe I'll just have a little gin."
Lily - who is married to Sam Cooper, who joined her at the ceremony - was nominated for three prizes, Best Solo Artist and Best Video and Best Track for 'Hard Out Here'.
The 28-year-old singer was shocked to be victorious in the Best Solo Artist category, beating Lorde, Jake Bugg, Sir Paul McCartney, Kanye West and David Bowie to the honour, because she hasn't even released her new album 'Sheezus' yet.
Speaking before her win, she said: "To win Best Solo Artist is stupid because I haven't released an album. But it's lovely to be here."

Noel Gallagher working on seismic new album

Noel Gallagher has written more than 50 songs for a "seismic" new album.
The 'Everybody's on the Run' singer is "whittling down" the tracks for his second solo LP and long-time collaborator, Mark Coyle, claims the new material reminds him "in some respects of the spirit" of Oasis's 1994 debut record, 'Definitely Maybe'.
He told NME magazine: "That boy is from a different planet, and even the fans won't believe how utterly amazing [the album] is. It's pouring out of him [right now]."
Noel, 46, released his solo debut 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' in 2011, which went to number one, after Oasis split in 2009, following a huge backstage argument in Paris, France with brother and band mate, Liam, 41, who went on to form his band, Beady Eye.
Mark, a sound engineer who co-produced Oasis's first album, reportedly heard a host of Noel's demos last month, following his recording sessions in New York, and described the new songs as "f***ing great".
He said:"The new record ... is so explosive that, on the day it comes out, Virgin Trains won't be able to cope with all the people trying to flee the chaos."
Meanwhile, Oasis sent the internet into meltdown yesterday (26.02.14) after they announced they will re-release their debut album, with added unheard tracks, to mark the record's 20th anniversary.
Noel said in a statement: "If anyone produced [those sessions], it was [Mark]. He put out the mics and was twiddling the knobs."
The original line-up of Oasis that recorded the album was made up of singer Liam, guitarist and songwriter Noel, rhythm guitarist Bonehead, bassist Paul 'Guigsy' McGuigan and drummer Tony McCarroll.
The re-mastered 'Definitely Maybe' is out on May 19.

Bryan Adams turned down The Voice

Bryan Adams turned down an offer to become a coach on 'The Voice' UK.
The '(Everything I Do) I Do It for You' singer finds it "cringey" to watch the show and is relieved that he snubbed a seat on the panel ahead of its UK launch two years ago because he would rather concentrate on his music career.
Bryan told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I got asked to be a coach on 'The Voice' when it started but I didn't want to do it.
"I'd rather be writing my own music than sitting on a chair, judging people."
The show, which is currently in its third series, sees will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones return as coaches alongside Kylie Minogue and Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson. However, Bryan admits he hasn't enjoyed watching the show.
He explained: "I watched it the other day. I saw Tom Jones hesitating all the time and I thought, 'That would have been me', and I would be doing that the whole time. It would be really cringey."
Meanwhile, 'The Voice' UK has seen a boost in ratings this year since Kylie's debut on the talent show.
In the US, the show is in its sixth season, with Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Usher and Shakira returning as coaches.

Rebecca Ferguson collapses on Loose Women

Rebecca Ferguson collapsed on 'Loose Women' today (27.02.14).
The 27-year-old singer appeared on the ITV chat show this afternoon to promote her new single 'All That I've Got', which she performed for the live audience, but as the track came to an end she appeared to faint on stage.
However, she's since taken to Twitter to assure her fans that she's okay, writing: "I am feeling much better will rest today so sorry to worry everybody I fought through that song but at the end had nothing left love yas xxx (sic)"
The former 'X Factor' contestant - who came in second place on the ITV talent show - fell to the floor as the end credits ran and having tweeted that she was feeling ill yesterday (26.02.14) it would seem that she's not yet recovered from the mystery sickness.
Posting on the social networking site, she said: "Still laid up in bed dunno what this bug is but it's getting shaken off big day tomorrow xxx (sic)"
Rebecca joined hosts Kaye Adams, Myleene Klass, Jane Moore and Sally Lindsay for a chat before taking to the stage, despite feeling unwell.

Corrie’s Tina McIntyre hates being ‘other woman’

'Coronation Street's' Tina McIntyre "hates being the other woman".
Actress Michelle Keegan, whose character is embroiled in a love triangle with Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and his wife Carla (Alison King), says her barmaid alter-ego is experiencing inner-turmoil over her actions of late.
She said: "She hates being the other woman - it's something Tina never thought she'd be. She doesn't want to betray Carla but her feelings for Peter override everything. Tina can't understand how he can be with her and then flit off to his wife. But he'd never leave Carla for her."
Tina is overcome with guilt as she continues her affair with her pal's husband, but Michelle admits the character is "blinded" by her lothario lover, who tells her he loves her in coming weeks.
The actress explained: "Peter knows it's what Tina wants to hear, and he's right. She's so blinded by love for Peter that she can't see him for what he is. he does care for her in a way but he loves his wife Carla, not Tina."
Carla will soon discover she's pregnant with Peter's baby and the news is sure to come as a blow to young Tina.
Michelle, 25, added to Inside Soap magazine: "Tina will be utterly devastated. She really wants a child and to find out that Peter wants another one, just not with her, will be a slap in the face."

Anna Kendrick doesn’t want singing roles

Anna Kendrick doesn't want singing roles in films so she can drink beer whenever she wants.
The 28-year-old actress is soon to hit the big screen in a string of movies including 'The Last Five Years' which is based on Jason Robert Brown's musical of same name, an adaptation of 'Into the Woods' based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway performance, and the sequel to 2012's 'Pitch Perfect'.
These films require her to belt out tracks and Kendrick insists she needs to be cast in productions which don't force her to think about her voice as much.
Talking to the wrap.com, she said: "I never want to sing again, honestly. It's hard as f**k.
"The 'Pitch Perfect' [sequel] is going to be fine, ten girls have to be able to sing the songs so it's going to be fine, but doing 'The Last Five Years' and then 'Into the Woods' straight away, I was like, I don't want to have to think about my voice so much.
"I want to be able to drink beer whenever I want."
The brunette beauty stars alongside Jeremy Jordan in Richard LaGravenese's forthcoming comedy and is also set to feature with a number of A-Listers including James Corden and Meryl Streep in 2014's musical fantasy 'Into the Woods' where she plays Cinderella.
Both these films are in post-production, while 'Pitch Perfect 2' will be released in 2015 and shows Kendrick and Rebel Wilson both reprise their roles.

Daniel Radcliffe spotted on Frankenstein set

Daniel Radcliffe is filming scenes for 'Frankenstein' in London.
The 'Harry Potter' star has swapped his short brown hair for dishevelled bob style extensions for his role as Frankenstein's assistant Igor in the latest adaptation of Mary Shelley's novel.
Radcliffe will star alongside James McAvoy (Victor Frankenstein) and former 'Downton Abbey' star Jessica Brown Findlay and previously joked about the difficulty of maintaining his fake hair.
The 24-year-old actor explained: "I don't mind how it looks but I mind dealing with it. I don't know why any man would have it voluntarily."
Radcliffe attended the WhatsOnStage Awards last week, where he and his co-star McAvoy were both nominated for Best Actor awards and he admitted that when he's finished working on the fantasy-drama he won't be growing his own hair.
He said: "The amount of work it takes, having to dry it - doing anything to it is a f**king nightmare. I do have a whole new sympathy for women. I wouldn't be growing my hair this long in my own time."
'Frankenstein' - which is being directed by Lucky Number Slevin's Paul McGuigan - is expected to be released in January 2015.

Kanye West writing film role for Kim Kardashian

Kanye West is writing a movie role for Kim Kardashian.
The 'Bound 2' hitmaker - who has eight-month-old daughter North with the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star - is teaming up with author Bret Easton Ellis for a film based on his 'Yeezus' album and insiders say his fiancee will "definitely" be part of the cast.
A source said: "It's going to be based on the 'Yeezus' album. That's pretty much a narrative of Kanye's life.
"Kanye will not appear in the movie. Kim is definitely going to be in it. The screenplay already features her character."
However, it has not yet been decided how big a role Kim will play in the movie.
The source continued to RadarOnline.com: "They're still working on the script, so it's unclear at this point if Kim will be a major star of the movie or making a smaller cameo but her role in the movie will be pivotal.
"Her role is going to be very dramatic. Far from the bubbly happy persona that she's always played."
Kanye plans to direct the movie - which will be dedicated to his late mother - and "wants to be heavily involved in all aspects of production."

Paula Patton hated Robin Thicke’s VMA performance

Paula Patton felt "utterly disrespected" by Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus' MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) performance.
The 38-year-old actress reportedly had a huge argument with the 'Blurred Lines' singer following the show, saying the raunchy routine - which featured 21-year-old Miley 'twerking' against her spouse - was insulting to her, particularly as it took place in front of a huge national TV audience.
And according to TMZ, Paula was particularly "enraged" because Miley improvised the performance without warning but her husband was happy to play along.
The couple - who announced their separation after eight years of marriage earlier this week - began arguing constantly after the ceremony in August, with the actress particularly furious with Robin's insistence on continuing to party at clubs and frequently being pictured with various women.
Although the couple - who have three-year-old son Julian together - insisted the separation was mutual, friends say Robin fought hard against the decision.
A source told Us Weekly: "Robin wanted to save their marriage, but it was Paula's choice and she ended it. Robin does not want this divorce.
"Robin was not blindsided - he knew this was coming out.But he was committed to saving their marriage. He didn't want this."
Another source added: "She is done with the marriage, but he was definitely fighting to stay together until the last moment. It is still cordial between them, but they are now figuring things out."

Woody Harrelson got into acting to impress girls

Woody Harrelson got into acting to impress girls.
The 52-year-old actor realised he could carve a career using his knack for impersonations after wooing a young lady by mimicking Elvis Presley.
He said: "In high school, I realised that if you were a terrific athlete, you could attract girls. I wasn't, so I had to look into some other possibilities.
"I got into theatre because a girl I liked saw me do an Elvis impersonation in the library and said I should be in the theatre. And I was like, 'If she wants me to be in theatre, I'm going to be in theatre.'
"Later on I realised that most of us are never going to be rock stars, which is probably everybody's real dream. So theatre is really our only chance to get up in front of a live audience."
The 'True Detective' star meditates on a daily basis and became a staunch vegan after feeling "knocked out" by greasy fast food.
He told the Metro newspaper: "I used to eat burgers and steak but I would just feel knocked out afterward. I had to give them up.
"Dairy was first, though. I was on a bus when I was about 24 and this girl saw me blow my nose, and I had acne all over my face. She told me I was obviously lactose intolerant and that if I gave up dairy my symptoms would disappear in a matter of days. She was right."

Ellen DeGeneres gives Kimmel an Oscar

Ellen DeGeneres presented Jimmy Kimmel with an Oscar for his unborn baby last night (26.02.14).
The 56-year-old talk show host will front the Academy Awards on Sunday (02.03.14) and joked she had taken one of the statuettes to gift to the presenter following the news he and wife Molly McNearney are expecting their first child together.
Speaking on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' last night, she said:
"You announced on the show that you and Molly are having a baby. Congratulations again. I got you a baby gift. Will it be your first?"
Jimmy inspected the trophy and said: "It is a heavy baby gift."
Ellen joked: "It is real! They let me take a real - well, they didn't let me - but I took it.
"I was rehearsing across the street. It is like a baby rattle so the child can play with it."
However, Jimmy felt his offspring wouldn't be impressed by the gift.
He joked: "I wish the baby had a speech prepared right now...I can't believe how heavy this thing is. The baby is not going to like this at all! We are going to have to have one of those super babies."
Meanwhile, Ellen - who is married to Portia De Rossi - also admitted she didn't "think through" her decision to host the Oscars and is incredibly "busy" at the moment.
She said: "I am very busy. I didn't think this through when I said I would host the Oscars. I have a show everyday, and I am writing like crazy. I am moving at the same time, which was not thought through either. We are moving right after the Oscars."
