Amy Adams kept American Hustle trench coat

Amy Adams kept a trench coat as a memento of 'American Hustle'.
The actress - who plays grifter Sydney Prosser in the David O. Russell movie, which is up for ten Oscars on Sunday (02.03.14) - takes home souvenirs from her time on certain movies, although she's unsure if she'll ever wear them again.
She said: "Do I take mementoes from sets? Yes. There was a trench coat that I liked a lot. It's funny because I always want to keep things, and I never will wear them again - which is too bad, as it's a really lovely trench coat."
Amy is nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars for her role in the movie, but is more excited about being able to catch up with some of her acting buddies at the event.
She added to people magazine: "Catching up with people you haven't seen for a while is the best part of award season. We all are so busy working, and sets can be really isolating, so getting to catch up and say hi to people is the best part."

Prince sacked bass player

Prince sacked his old bass player because he didn't know enough songs.
The 'Purple Rain' hitmaker, who continues to excite fans with a number of gigs in the UK, decided to get rid of the musician when he met Ida Nielson, who later joined his all-girl band 3RDEYEGIRL.
He said: "My old bass player, who shall remain nameless, didn't know as many songs as Ida.
"She had to learn 150 to get the gig and she did it. So I sacked my old bass player."
The 55-year-old singer also gushed the band's guitarist Donna Grantis - who has recorded the album 'PLECTRUM ELECTRUM' with Prince, Ida and drummer Hannah Ford - and said he was first drawn to her daring half-shaved hairstyle.
He told Mojo magazine: "When I first saw a clip of Donna, what struck me was her hair.
"I figured that anyone who ain't afraid to walk into the supermarket with that haircut ain't gonna be afraid of me."
The guitarist described Prince's Paisley Park Studios in Minnopelis as a "parallel universe" where "time stops existing" and touring with the singer can be demanding.
She said: "You know how doctors are always on call, because their pager buzzes and they have to head to the hospital and do surgery. That's what being in Prince's band is like. The phone can go at any minute. It can be hard if you let it get to you, but at this stage in our lives we couldn't ask for more."

Ellen DeGeneres’ house is haunted

The 13,000 square foot Brody house was built for property developer Sidney Brody and his wife Frances in 1951. Sidney passed away in 1981, but it is the spirit of his wife, who died in 2009, that is said to haunt the property and friends have convinced Ellen and Portia to take drastic action to take drastic action to cleanse the property of the spirit.

One Direction: Kids should be having fun

One Direction disagree with children using social media.
The 'Story of My Life' hitmakers are all avid users of social networking sites such as Twitter and Instagram but Liam Payne thinks their younger fans shouldn't be using them and that they should be focusing on having fun instead.
He said: "When I think about it, I do start to worry about this whole social media thing. It does make me uncomfortable; kids should be out, living their lives, getting out and enjoying themselves."
Liam and his bandmates, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik, have also admitted that they've had some bizarre experiences with fans since they were catapulted into the limelight following their success on UK talent show 'The X Factor' in 2010.
The 20-year-old heartthrob added: "I went into an empty gym and there was just me and a girl in full make-up, a dress and high heels actually running on the treadmill, watching me."
The band - who released their third album 'Midnight Memories' in November - are still finding it hard to come to terms with their success.
Liam told Top of the Pops magazine: "It's surreal and I don't think any of us have got our heads around it. It's amazing, it's crazy, it's like nothing we ever thought would happen, but it's also just weird. The performing, the writing, the albums - all of that is just more incredible than you could ever imagine."

Brooke Mueller moves back in with sons

Brooke Mueller has moved back into the house Charlie Sheen bought her.
The former actress is back living in the exclusive gated community and taking care of her twin boys with Charlie, Bob and Max, four, rather than her brother, Scott, who was appointed their guardian before Christmas.
A source told RadarOnline.com: "Brooke has been living at the mansion in Mulholland Estates since before Christmas.
"The boys had been living at the house with their temporary guardian, Scott Mueller, but he hasn't been spotted at the house lately.
"He's been back at his house in Orange County [California] to be with his family. Brooke does have a nanny and a sober living companion also with her in the house. There just wasn't enough room at the condominium she had been living at for her staff."
Brooke, 36, originally lost custody of the twins when she was placed on involuntary psychiatric hold at the UCLA Medical Center last year. She has since sought treatment for her drug dependency and is said to be on the road to recovery.
Another of Charlie's ex-wives, Denise Richards - who also lives in the same gated community - initially became guardian to the boys, but she had to give them over to Scott after they started to display violent tendencies toward her own children.
It is not known if Brooke's move back into her home has been sanctioned by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, but the source added she is determined to win custody of them back, and is currently on course for that to happen by May.

Prince Harry will speak at We Day next Friday (07.03.14).
The British royal is to give a motivational speech at the event, the first of its type held in the UK, which promotes global youth empowerment.
Harry's own charities, Sentebale and The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, are both involved with helping children and young people to build their skills and confidence, which are also in keeping with the aims of We Day.
Twelve thousand young Brits are expected to join in the event, held at London's Wembley Arena, and will listen to the prince and many other speakers and performers from a diverse range of backgrounds, including education activist Malala Yousafzai, former US Vice President Al Gore, Jennifer Hudson, Dizzee Rascal, Ellie Goulding, 'Harry Potter' actress Evanna Lynch, Birdy and Clive Owen.
Organisers of the event promise it will be "full of educational speeches, inspirational moments and show-stopping performances."
Harry is very committed to his charity work, setting up Sentebale in 2006 with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, to provide schooling, healthcare and food for deprived children in the mountain kingdom. The charity has proved a success and he is now planning to expand it into more of the surrounding countries in Africa.
Chief executive of Sentebale, Cathy Ferrier, says the prince even kept in close contact with her while he was serving on the front line in Afghanistan as an army Apache helicopter pilot.

Miley Cyrus defends use of little people on tour

Miley Cyrus has defended her use of little people as backing dancers.
The 'We Can't Stop' star is accompanied by short people on stage for her current Bangerz Tour, but insists they are employed to have fun rather than just because of their height.
Talking to MSNBC's Ronan Farrow, she said: "We're making them feel sexual and beautiful."
Speaking more specifically about one of the dancers, she added: "We're all about lifting her up and making her feel so sexy all the time, and having her dance - she's actually an awesome dancer.
"They're just like dancing, doing these cute moves and they're awesome dancers just on their own. It's not me telling them how to be.
"It's really funny how serious people take it. And [people are] like, 'You're racist.' And I'm like, 'Really?' We're like a bunch of kids dancing around in, like, bear [suits], we don't do choreography."
One of Miley's former backing dancers, Hollis Jane - who was spanked by the star on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) last year - previously said she felt used by the singer.
She wrote: "I was a bear in Miley Cyrus' VMA performance and it was my first time doing anything like that... anything where I was being used because of my height, not because of my talent. And I will be the first one to tell you that standing on that stage, in that costume was one of the most degrading things I felt like I could ever do."
However, Hollis has now clarified her remark, saying she does not blame Miley, but "little people need to stop being seen, in my opinion, in the media as jokes."

Lupita Nyong’o used to pray for lighter skin

Lupita Nyong'o used to pray for lighter skin.
The Kenyan actress received the Best Breakthrough Performance Award for her role in '12 Years A Slave' at Essence's magazine's seventh annual Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon yesterday (27.02.14) and accepted it with a speech telling how she overcame being "teased and taunted" for her "night-shaded skin".
She said: "My one prayer to God, the miracle worker, was that I would wake up lighter-skinned.
"The morning would come and I would be so excited about seeing my new skin that I would refuse to look down at myself until I was in front of a mirror because I wanted to see my fair face first. And every day I experienced the same disappointment of being just as dark as I was the day before."
Lupita, 30, said she found strength through supermodel Alek Wek when she was a teenager.
According to the New York Daily News newspaper, she explained: "A celebrated model, she was dark as night, she was on all of the runways and in every magazine and everyone was talking about how beautiful she was.
"Even Oprah [Winfrey] called her beautiful and that made it a fact ... When I saw Alek I inadvertently saw a reflection of myself that I could not deny.
"Now, I had a spring in my step because I felt more seen, more appreciated by the far away gatekeepers of beauty."
Lupita now finds herself in a similar position to Alex, as a positive role model for young black women, and is honoured to be thought of as such.
After reading a letter written by a young person, thanking her, she added: "I hope that my presence on your screens and in the magazines may lead you, young girl, on a similar journey. That you will feel the validation of your external beauty but also get to the deeper business of being beautiful inside. There is no shame in black beauty."

Ellen DeGeneres will Twerk at Oscars

Ellen DeGeneres has joked "there will be Twerking" at the Oscars.
The talk show star is hosting the 86th Academy Awards on Sunday (02.03.14) for the second time, and joked that she'll be taking it less seriously than in 2007 and pulling some butt-shaking moves like Miley Cyrus.
She told website Access Hollywood: "There will be Twerking... I mean, I have a foam finger all picked out. It's gonna be classy... I'm gonna be so drunk, no memories. I'm not gonna remember a thing and that's my goal.
"I hope I remember nothing. The first time I did it sober and I thought, 'That's easy!' So this time I plan on drinking nonstop, and I'm live Tweeting which I couldn't do seven years ago.
"So I'll be Tweeting throughout the entire show, [plus] taking pictures of people in compromising positions."
Ellen has also promised to make fun of the nominees and has plenty of jokes lined up.
She added: "They [the nominees] should be filled with fear! ... I'll be in the audience a lot and I will be playing with people in the audience a lot. Sometimes they'll know it and sometimes they won't. Nobody's gonna get hurt, but there's fun to be had."
The Oscars 2014 will be broadcast on channel ABC in the US live from Hollywood on Sunday.
