Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla visit Teapot Island

Britain's Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla visited Teapot Island in Yalding yesterday (19.03.14).
The royal couple took a trip to Kent to visit businesses destroyed by the battering storms, which hit the south east of England over Christmas, and they were particularly taken by a cute little museum.
The business, which holds around 7,000 teapots, suffered £20,000 worth of flood damage after the River Medway broke its banks on Christmas Day (25.12.13).
Owners Keith and Sue Blazye were given just a few minutes warning that the duke and duchess wanted to view their museum after the royal pair rescheduled their trip to fit in the teapot visit.
Charles and Camilla were given a tour of the premises and were stunned by the different types of teapots displayed.
The Teapot Island is set to be reopened on Mother's Day (30.03.14) after extensive repairs were carried out to fix the damage.
However, some people in the village still haven't been able to return to their homes after their properties were wiped out by the river water and repairs are still being carried out.
Tim Chapman, 58, and his wife June, 55, are currently staying in a rented flat in a nearby village and don't expect to return home until October after 5ft floods ruined the downstairs of their house.

Queen Elizabeth’s Commonwealth gifts to be displayed

A selection of gifts given to Britain's Queen Elizabeth from Commonwealth nations are to go on display this weekend.
More than 70 colourful presents, which were brought back by the monarch from her trips during her 62-year reign, will go on show at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh to mark the build-up to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on July 23.
Items on display include, tapestries, portraits, porcelain plaques, and a pair of canoes.
Deborah Clarke, curator at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, said: "The Queen has visited almost every country in the Commonwealth and has received many unique objects from around the world.
"In the year that the Games come to Scotland, it seemed very fitting to mark Her Majesty's role as Head of the Commonwealth and to display these gifts at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Queen's official residence in Scotland."
The Queen started the Commonwealth baton relay last year in London and has sent it on to all of the 53 Commonwealth countries, before it'll arrive in Glasgow in July.
The Commonwealth: Gifts to the Queen exhibition opens on March 21 and runs until November 2.

Countess of Wessex opens Heart Centre in Ipswich

Britain's Countess of Wessex has officially opened the new Heart Centre at Ipswich Hospital.
The 49-year-old royal visited the facility in Suffolk, England, yesterday morning (19.03.14), where she met the doctors, nurses and patients, before declaring the unit open.
The centre has been updated and installed with new state-of-the art equipment after three years of heavy campaigning, which saw members of the public raise more than £30,000, while Heartbeat East Suffolk made a generous £78,000 donation.
The money raised was used to pay for mood lighting in the two new theatres and the installation of calming music, as well as other hi-tech equipment.
The hospital's chief executive Nick Hulme gave the Countess a tour of the cardiac centre before they met lead consultant Dr Duncan McNab, who explained the procedures that are carried out.
Speaking before unveiling a plaque, Sophie said: "Congratulations to all of you.
"What an impressive department you have and I have no doubt that the many patients who will be undergoing procedures here will be hugely and eternally grateful.
"The attention to detail with mood lighting and music says it all."

Brittany Daniel reveals cancer battle

Brittany Daniel has secretly battled cancer.
The 'Game' actress was diagnosed with stage IV non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in the summer of 2011 after suffering from excruciating back pain, night sweats and flu-like symptoms.
She said: "It happened so suddenly. I don't think any of us were expecting what we heard."
The 38-year-old actress - who lost her hair as she underwent six months of chemotherapy treatment - and her mother moved into a guest house in the grounds of her twin sister Cynthia's home and she says she couldn't have beaten the disease without the support of her family.
She told People magazine: "There is is no way I would have ever gotten through this without my family.
"My family is everything to me and I feel like they saw me through this.
"We watched a lot of 'Seinfeld'. Laughter was healing."
And Brittany credits her sister - who she previously starred with in teen TV series 'Sweet Valley High' - for giving her the strength to fight the deadly disease.
She said: "I really wasn't afraid of dying. But I fought so hard to live because I could not leave her behind."
The blonde beauty has been given the all-clear from cancer, and though she initially only told a small group of friends and family, she is now speaking out in order to give hope to other sufferers.
She said: "I want to let people know it is absolutely possible to get through something like this. I want people to know they are not alone."

Lily Collins forgets she’s famous

Lily Collins can't believe she gets invited to showbiz parties.
The 'Mirror, Mirror' actress feels like a "little girl dressing up" when she goes to red carpet events because she forgets how famous she is.
She said: "The Met Ball? Being invited to something like that? Incredible! I still think, Why am I on the list? I still feel like a little girl dressing up and getting to go to a pretty party."
Though Lily's father, musician Phil Collins, meant she grew up around famous people, she insists they never seems like anything out of the ordinary to her.
Speaking to the new edition of Lucky magazine, she said: "I never understood the word 'celebrity'. It was just part of my everyday."
The 24-year-old beauty has three tattoos, and says she has "always loved" body art, so never minds the pain it takes to have a design etched onto her skin.
She said: "I've always loved body art I remember being with my mom on Venice Beach when I was really young, and we walked by this guy on a Harley who was covered in tattoos.
"I was this little British girl, and I went up to him and said, 'Your tattoos are so pretty!' That was probably the last thing he wanted to hear...
"[As for the pain], look, women go through worse things. Waxing hurts more than tattoos. And tattoos are permanent, so if it takes a little pain to get there, that's OK."

Barack Obama will get tattoo with daughters

President Barack Obama promised to get matching tattoos with his wife and daughters.
The US Commander-in-chief and his spouse Michelle made the pact in the hope of "reducing the cool factor" of body art and discouraging Malia, 15, and Sasha, 12, from wanting to follow the trend.
In an interview airing on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' today (20.03.14), he said: "We will reduce the cool factor of any tattoo.
"Michelle and I will be right there and we'll post it so that everybody will be able to see it and we'll say we all got matching tattoos.
"I suspect that would be a pretty good deterrent for both Malia and Sasha."
Earlier this month, Ellen smashed the president's record for Twitter retweets when a 'selfie' she posted of herself and a number of famous guests - including Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Meryl Streep and Lupita Nyong'o - at the Oscars became the most shared post on the social networking site, and the politician mocked her for the "cheap stunt".
As Ellen - who hosted the Academy Awards - tried to apologise for breaking his record, Mr. Obama said: "I heard about that. I thought it was a pretty cheap stunt myself. Getting a bunch of celebrities in the background."
The US leader also confessed to being a big fan of political drama 'House Of Cards', though he insists their life is nothing like the way the White House is depicted on screen.
He said: "You know, I watch 'House of Cards'... I have to tell you, life in Washington is a little more boring than displayed on the screen
"You know the truth of the matter is, if you followed me, most of my day is sitting in a room listening to a bunch of folks in grey suits talking about a whole bunch of stuff that wouldn't make very good television.
"I have to tell you though Ellen, there's not much dancing in the situation room, as a general rule."

Ricky Gervais is a ‘failed pop star’

Ricky Gervais is a "failed pop star".
The British comic - who released a number of singles in the early 1980s as a member of duo Seona Dancing and has also toured with a band as his 'Office' character David Brent under the name 'Foregone Conclusion' - can be seen singing and dancing in his new movie 'Muppets Most Wanted', and although he isn't the best mover he embraces the opportunity to show off his skills whenever he can, especially the shuffle, known as the "white man overbite".
He told ShortList magazine: "I'm a failed pop star. I always try to sneak it [song and dance] in , whether it's 'The Simpsons', with Elmo, or David Bowie.
"But dancing - wow, that's awkward. I embrace the whole white man overbite - that's what I do anyway."
The 52-year-old funnyman insists other stars including Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Tom Hiddleston and James McAvoy make an appearance in the new 'Muppets' film to show they've got a sense of humour and don't want to portray themselves as serious all the time.
He added: "I think actors and pop stars with a certain image want to go 'I've got a sense of humour. I laugh at myself. Look! I'm not really like that. If I was like that I wouldn't do it!'
"But sometimes they just want to go and have fun.
"If you're Lady Gaga and you have got 30 people doing anything you want, sometimes you want someone to say your hair looks funny.
"I think these people know they live in a strange, rarefied world, so they go 'Look, I laugh, I fall over'. I could be totally wrong."
