The Voice’s Will.i.am wants feisty contestants

Will.i.am wants 'The Voice' contestants to fight for their "passion".
The star is a coach on the TV talent show, and he suggested his three starstruck contestants - Sophie May Williams, Jermain Jackman and Iesher Haughton - have to be ready to "argue" if they think they know best.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper's TV Magazine, he said: "None of them would argue with a seasoned professional. It's as if they haven't been out in the world yet.
"There's something beautiful about that greenness but, at the same time, there's something fragile about it too.
"When I was their age, I would argue. I was like, 'This is what I want to do. There's nothing you can tell me about my passion. I'm gonna get there.' "
The Black Eyed Peas singer cares about the hopefuls on his team, and Sophie May insisted he is "super intelligent" when it comes to giving advice.
She added: "He's super intelligent. When he talks to me I'm like: 'I wonder what's going on in your brain?'
"He said to me: 'You know what you're doing, I'll just guide you.' "

Will.i.am says Justin Bieber doesn’t have to be a ‘role model’

Will.i.am doesn't think Justin Bieber has to be a "role model".
The superstar producer has suggested both the 'Beauty and a Beat' singer and Miley Cyrus are under a lot of pressure as they struggle with "growing up" in front of the world, and doesn't blame them for their controversial behaviour.
He told The Sun newspaper's TV Magazine: "Those particular pop stars are just graduating into adulthood.
"Part of the reason that I feel Justin Bieber has had a hard time growing up is because the spotlight and magnifying glass is on him.
"It's really not important that pop stars are role models. There are no rules on how a pop star should act."
The Black Eyed Peas singer has managed to stay grounded because he doesn't want to embarrass his mother with crazy behaviour, and they still have a close relationship.
He said: "I talk to my mom every other day. At the age I am now, my mom already had three kids - all by herself.
"She's most proud of what I choose to use my success for. To aim it in areas that are beneficial to others."

Ellie Goulding: ‘I need to sort my life out’

Ellie Goulding "needs" to sort herself out.
The 'Burn' hitmaker has admitted she has to figure her life out before she risks being "forever on the road" focusing purely on her career as a musician.
She told Billboard magazine: "I need to sort my life out. And if I don't do it soon, I may as well just be forever on the road, because that's what it feels like."
The 27-year-old singer explained while she still loves her career and her art, she is being "pulled home" and feels like she needs to have some time to herself.
She added: "As much as I love what I do, and music is obviously everything to me, I'm being pulled home, and I've got to do that soon, I think."
Ellie recently revealed it took her a while to learn "to trust people" after her father abandoned her as a youngster.
She previously said: "I did find it hard to trust people when my dad left. Particularly men.
"I have got over that now but I thought if I had a boyfriend I would wonder why they were being so nice to me."

Justin Bieber paying mum’s $8,000-a-month rent

Justin Bieber has been paying rent on his mother's secret Los Angeles mansion.
The 20-year-old singer is said to have helped mum Pattie Mallette with a home in California, with one his companies providing the money she needs to pay for the property.
According to gossip website TMZ, the huge mansion costs $8,000 a month, and Justin is doing what he can to help his mother.
However, Pattie has reportedly got into trouble over the home after getting home improvement work done without asking her landlord's permission.
She is said to have installed a mirror in her gym without paying the bill, leading the company that did the work to file a lien against the property amounting to $3,414.
Justin's mum thought she was being overcharged, and they recently settled for $2,600 - although the landlord wasn't told.
It seems the star is looking to invest in another home soon, with recent reports claiming he was looking at a property in the UK.
An insider said: "Justin wants somewhere quiet to escape to when it all gets too much.
"England has always appealed to him, and he wants somewhere that feels like it's cut of from the rest of the world - which is why he has his heart set on the Isle of Wight."

Simon Cowell will let Eric be a star

Simon Cowell is preparing his son for a future in showbiz.
The media mogul - whose partner Lauren Silverman gave birth to Eric five weeks ago - would be happy to encourage his baby's talents from the age of three.
Speaking on US radio, he said: "I would say: 'Do what I do and go behind the scenes'.
"But if he can sing, Lauren and I have agreed that we wouldn't do anything with him until he is at least three years old.
"Lauren is already teaching him how to sing and dance ... Funnily enough the only time I have heard him really cry is when she started to sing!"
Despite recently becoming a father for the first time, the 'X Factor' boss has insisted he has no intention of retiring from his TV career because he is achieving his childhood dreams.
Asked how long he wants to remain in the spotlight, he responded: "Probably another 50 of 60 years ... I really do love my job.
"It is what I wanted to do as a kid. The fact I can do it, I do pinch myself on a daily basis.
"I'm having fun doing it and the people I work with have become good friends of mine ... There is nothing really much to be miserable about, to be honest with you."

Sam Bailey: Pregnancy hasn’t ‘hit me’

Sam Bailey's pregnancy still hasn't sunk in yet.
The 2013 'X Factor' champion - who recently discovered she was expecting her third child - has claimed the news hasn't "hit" her, and admitted she thinks the baby was conceived on New Year's Eve.
She told BANG Showbiz: "It's not hit me yet that I'm pregnant. I'm three months, so I've got six months to go ... I'm pretty sure it was New Year's Eve.
"It was before we went out, before I performed at G-A-Y. It's a New Year's Eve baby."
Despite her recent rise to stardom, Sam insisted she won't be looking at employing a nanny to look after her children - daughter Brooke, eight, and son Tommy, five, with husband Craig - but she will be playing her mother to accompany her on tour to help out.
She added: "I'm due October 3rd. My mum's going to come on tour with me [in January] to look after the baby.
"I'm going to pay my mum's wages for a month so she can come on tour with me ... I'm not getting a nanny. I'll look after my own kids ... I won't be taking mega amounts of time off because I've got great people around me and supporting me.
"I need to be there for a certain period of time with the baby, but it's not like I'm flying off the Cambodia and staying away from home. I've got a great husband he's a great dad who's great at looking after babies."
Sam's debut album 'The Power of Love' is released on Monday (24.03.14).

Kylie Minogue to quit The Voice

Kylie Minogue will quit 'The Voice' after this year's final.
The 'I Should Be So Lucky' hitmaker joined the TV talent show at the beginning of the current series and helped boost ratings, but now she has admitted her touring schedule might not allow her to return as a coach when filming starts again in November.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I'm touring later this year and the timings wouldn't work.
"We started filming in November last year and I'm on tour in September, October and November this year ... I have loved doing the show although there have been parts that have been really emotional."
Asked whether she would go back if the BBC changed the filming schedule to fit her in, Kylie said it was something she'd consider.
She added: "I would have to think about it."
With the show selling itself as a competition purely about vocals, the 45-year-old star has insisted sexiness also helps.
She explained: "Charisma is important and that is often very close to someone being sexy."
Meanwhile, the BBC has revealed they will do their best to "accommodate" Kylie's tour dates as they plan for the next series.
A spokesperson said: "We are aware of Kylie's commitments and are looking to accommodate them."

She said: "She writes her own destiny in a way which is very unusual, especially for a young woman in the world of pop music. I wrote half of the first season of 'Girls' listening to her 'Speak Now' album and wrote much of the third season listening to 'Red'."
Lena, 27, is proud to call Taylor, 24, a friend and says she is always asking her for advice because she is very wise.
She added in an interview with America's Glamour magazine: "Taylor is a good friend of mine. I call her and text her all time. She helps me be stronger and make better decisions.

"He's good to his skin, that's for sure. It's always, 'what are you using, what is that?' It's cute."
The 'We're The Millers' actress admitted she has had to put her sunbathing days behind her after not taking enough care of her skin.
She added: "The sun, I feel, is like my friend I've had to say goodbye to," she said ruefully. "I was terrible as a kid. It was baby oil [that she rubbed on her body]...I mean, we all did it."
Jennifer recently insisted she was feeling "better" than ever lately, becoming a lot more comfortable in herself.
She previously said: "I feel like I felt when I was 28. My bones don't hurt. I feel great. I actually feel better, more confident. Of course I still have the nerves, but now I know how to control them.

Cameron Diaz will always be grateful for her success.
The 41-year-old actress sometimes doubts the choices she has made, but she thinks it is important to make the best of every situation.
She said: "For me, gratitude is the only attitude. When you come from where I have come from and the fact I am at where I am at, you have only gratitude.
"There are so many other ways my life could have gone. And the fact that I am in the position I am in, every step of the way, I have gratitude for it.

The 'Other Woman' star believes women need to be more "connected" to themselves instead of striving desperately to make the right choices to be happy.
She told Britain's OK! magazine: "We are not taught how to be connected to ourselves, to honour ourselves. And so we are working our entire lives just trying to figure out who we are, what makes us happy, we live our lives looking at all these other things, going, 'Oh if I pick that and that and that, then that will make me happy and I'll be a whole person.'
"You need to be going within yourself and asking yourself, 'What makes me happy? What do I do, how do I become whole?' "

Taylor Momsen wants to write a song with Noel Gallagher.
The Pretty Reckless singer is a self-confessed Oasis fan and previously met Noel's brother and former bandmate Liam but claims she is dying to collaborate with the 'AKA... What a Life!' singer after covering his old band's hit 'Supersonic' on tour.
She said: "I'd love to write a song with Noel Gallagher, I'm a massive Oasis fan. It would be awesome, Noel is an amazing songwriter. I've met Liam a couple times, he's super cool, he's totally the real deal, exactly how you'd want him to be, but I've not met Noel yet."
Taylor also hopes Oasis, who split in 2009 after Noel and Liam had a huge backstage argument, will one day reform and the 20-year-old star admits her band's cover of the their song wasn't always well-received by fans at their live shows.
She continued: "We used to cover 'Supersonic' [in our set] and thought everyone would flip out over it. We mixed it with 'Time Is Running Out' [by Muse] and put it together. We thought everyone would go nuts, but it was kind of 50/50 when we hit the UK, whether they loved it or hated it."
The singer, whose band have just released their second album 'Going To Hell', would also like to play with American rock band Soundgarden.
She added: "I'm dying to play with Soundgarden, or play at a festival with them, which I think we are doing."
