Miley Cyrus and Flaming Lips are recording a Beatles cover.
The 'Adore' hitmaker and the US rock band have announced they have teamed up in the studio and are in the process of creating their own version of the 1967 hit 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds'.
Frontman Wayne Coyne took to Instagram yesterday (16.03.14) to announce the collaboration.
He posted a picture of Miley, 21, in the studio, accompanied with the caption: "Miley in the studio vomiting diamonds while singing Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds!! If you're a Beatles and John Lennon freak you gonna love love love this track!! Got Andrew from MGMT too!!!! (sic)".
Wayne, 53, hinted at a possible collaboration last Friday (14.03.14) when he posted a picture of Miley rolling a cigarette, but he failed to divulge too much information.
He wrote: "Recording with Miley... High as f**k..."
This isn't the first time the duo have teamed up as Wayne has joined Miley on stage on a number of occasions recently during her 'Bangerz' world tour.
'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds', which was written by John Lennon and Sir Paul McCartney, featured on the Beatles 1967 best-selling album 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'.
The track was always believed to be about drugs, but John insisted it was inspired by a drawing etched by his son Julian when he was at nursery school.
However, in 2004, Sir Paul confirmed the song is about LSD.
Kara Tointon hasn't danced since competing on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The former 'EastEnders' actress won the ballroom show in 2010 but is "sad" to admit she hasn't used the skills she learnt since lifting the glitterball trophy.
Asked if she still dances, she said: "No, I don't. I try by myself around the house but it's hard - you need a partner. It's one of those things you do all day, every day for six months, then it finishes and you never dance again. It's really quite sad."
The 30-year-old star insists she hasn't danced because the styles she learned are not "appropriate" in ordinary settings.
She said: "You don't want to show everyone up and pull out the shapes, it's hard pulling out a tango in the middle of a dancefloor ... they're only appropriate in certain places. I's all choreographed, isn't it - I'm not so good at the freestyling thing."
However, Kara could get to use her skills again soon as she and fellow former 'Strictly' stars Denise Van Outen and Kimberley Walsh are working on a dance show together.
She told BBC Radio 1: "We got chatting and realised how much we enjoyed it and we're all from a background where we love the jazz hands. We hadn't ever done this particular style, ballroom, and we'd love to do some more so we're developing a show together that we're involved in writing it, so that's in the process at the moment."
'Coronation Street's' Maria Connor is "shattered" by Marcus Dent's betrayal.
The Weatherfield favourite will have a breakdown when she discovers her boyfriend - played by Charlie Condou - has been cheating on her with Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley), and will begin acting odd.
Samia Ghadie, who plays Maria, said: "She's heading for some sort of breakdown and there'll be some unexpected behaviour from her. It's one betrayal too far, so all of her past tragedies will come to a head. She has no trust in anyone anymore. Marcus has shattered her dreams completely."
Maria will end her relationship with midwife Marcus and the messy split will take the character to a dark place.
Samia explained: "She wants to kill him. She's fuming with them both. She sees them in the street together and presumes they're now an item, that's another kick in the teeth."
And the hairdresser is further shocked to discover her friend Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) has been suspicious about Marcus and Todd.
The actress added to Soaplife magazine: "She is furious Fiz never said anything. Maria's angry at the world and feels as though everyone is laughing at her. She tells Fiz she doesn't need enemies with friends like her."
Chris Pine has pleaded guilty to drink driving.
The 'Star Trek' actor was fined $93 and had his driver's licence suspended for six months during a court hearing at the Ashburton district court in New Zealand today (17.03.14).
Chris' lawyer, Marilyn Gilchrist, had applied for the star to be discharged without conviction after claiming he had already suffered emotionally and professionally because of the worldwide negative coverage of his crime.
The judge, Joanna Maze, said she accepted Chris was "entirely remorseful" of his actions as he had pleaded guilty to the charge at the earliest opportunity and had complied with the police.
The 33-year-old star was stopped by officers in a "routine operation" in Methven, Canterbury, New Zealand, on March 1 and was arrested after tests revealed his blood-alcohol level was 0.11 per cent, which is over New Zealand's legal limit of 0.08 per cent.
Chris was in the country filming 'Z for Zachariah' and had been out celebrating the end of the shoot, the night before he was arrested.
Blue Pub Methven manager Casey Crawford said around 70 cast and crew members, and local volunteers had hired the nightspot on February 28, with the party ending around 3am on March 1, the morning the actor was arrested.
Mr. Crawford said previously: "Chris Pine arrived here and had his supermodel girlfriend [Iris Bjork Johannesdottir] with him."
He added: "You can see the photos behind the bar with our staff and he looked fine, I only ever saw him drinking tap beer and his partner she was just drinking sav wine.''
Drake has banned Rihanna from speaking to her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
The 'Hold On, We're Going Home' rapper has reportedly told his beau he'll only make their relationship official if she agrees to cut all ties with the 24-year-old singer.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Rihanna and Drake are just having fun at the moment. Neither of them are relationship people really. But Drake has made it clear that if things are going to get serious with them, he doesn't want her speaking with Chris.
"They are never going to get along properly."
Despite their turbulent past, Rihanna, 26, has never been able to stop complete contact with Chris, who left her bloodied and bruised when he physically assaulted her during an altercation in 2009.
Earlier this year, the former lovers, who dated on-and-off for three years, began texting each other more regularly.
However, Rihanna won't be seeing Chris for a little while as he is currently behind bars after he allegedly violated a judge's order by getting kicked out of the rehab facility in Malibu last week.
The 'Fine China' hitmaker was chucked out of the facility for allegedly breaking "internal rules" and, although it is not known what he done, it is not believed to be linked to violence or drugs.
Chris had been ordered to spend time in rehab for anger issues after an alleged assault in Washington D.C in October, which stemmed from his attack on Rihanna five years ago.
Jean Dujardin says George Clooney is a "locomotive" on set.
The French actor was amazed by the Hollywood hunk's modesty and passion for his work while shooting WW2 drama 'The Monuments Men', which boasts an cast all-star cast including Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon and Bill Murray.
Asked how he fitted in among the A-list cast, Dujardin told France's TF1 channel: "By being a clown, it's the best way to bond, humour. But staying awestruck and taking pleasure from the experience and because they're all enjoying it, we communicated that way. You have people who never stop like John Goodman and George, he's like a locomotive. He needs harmony. He's still amazed by his status and his enjoyment of the scenery, the work. He's not blasé. "
'The Artist' star recalled the first time Clooney contacted him about the film and said the pair have always had a banter-filled friendship because they sent humourous selfies back and forth.
He joked: "George Clooney sent me an email two years ago, I was in my bathing suit at the time. He said, 'I'm making a film called 'The Monuments Men' and there's a French guy role in it, do you want to come have fun with us?' I sent him back a mail saying, 'It's not possible, leave me alone - I'm on holiday', with a photo attached of me with my hair sticking up everywhere.
"He sent me back one of him with long hair in the 80s so I said, 'OK, you win, I'm coming.' I then told him it was going to take me a good 15 days to understand his script. It's always very easy [working] with George."
Embrace think the music industry needs Lily Allen.
The band's frontman Danny McNamara - who is joined in the group by his brother Richard McNamara, Steve Firth, Mickey Dale and Mike Heaton - has praised the outspoken 'Air Balloon' singer for her attitude and acerbic pop songs and believes the charts are a better place now she's back and releasing her first new album in five years, 'Sheezus'.
Danny exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "She's great, the world is better with Lily in it. She writes great pop music and she's not afraid to say what she thinks.
"Her personality is great, people like Lily just speak from the heart about whatever and bugger the consequences. Music is fresher as a result of people like that."
Although he loves Lily, Danny insists he and his Embrace bandmates aren't as eager to attend celebrity parties as she seems to be and aren't bothered about having famous friends.
Danny - who is close pals with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who wrote the song 'Gravity' for Embrace - explained: "We've always stayed clear of that. When we first got signed we got invited to a record company party and there were loads of big names there.
"I remember Steve our bass player was like, 'God, I'm trying to get to the loo and there's a half an hour queue.' Then we sort of realised that actually everyone was queuing up to do cocaine and it just felt really cheap. It's not for us."
The band, who have not released an album since 'This New Day' in 2006, will drop their sixth self-titled record on April 28 and admit they don't even get invited to celebrity bashes any more.
Danny added: "We went to that one party and after that we just said 'no' to everything and people have stopped asking. It's not about that for us, it's about the music."

Michelle Rodriguez is jealous of Cara Delevingne's friendship with Rihanna.
The 'Machete Kills' actress thinks the 21-year-old model's relationship with the 'Pour It Up' singer is "disrespectful" and
has reportedly warned her girlfriend to stay away from the Barbados-born beauty.
A source told Britain's Star magazine: "Michelle knows Cara is close to Rihanna but thinks it's disrespectful for the two of them to be hanging out so much, especially as they've only just gone public with their relationship."
Michelle reportedly became envious when the pair were pictured together at Karl Lagerfeld's supermarket inspired catwalk for the house of Chanel during Paris Fashion Week earlier this month, and she is riled by Rihanna's apparent mockery of her relationship with Cara.
The source added: "Rihanna has told pals she thinks the whole thing is funny and pretty ridiculous. She's just friends with Cara, nothing more."
The news comes after reports Cara is keen to tie the knot with Michelle in a secret wedding at the Niagra Falls, Canada after only two months of dating.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "It's typical of Cara to want to do something crazy and impulsive. But she seems deadly serious."

The 'Applause' singer admits she suffered financial difficulty after she invested her entire $3 million dollar fortune into staging at her concerts in a bid to launch her pop career back in 2009.
Gaga revealed: "I had $3 million dollars in the bank to my name and I threw it all in to make my stage. So I was bankrupt during the show. So I was bankrupt during the show."
The comments come as part of a trailer for documentary, 'Who The F**k Is Arthur Fogel?', a film which follows the Live Nation executive who Gaga was keen to help take her career to the next level.
She added: "I said, 'Just let me do this'. 'Let me just put it on the stage because I think if I can do this I can get Arthur Fogel's attention'. And I did. I remember he called me and he said, 'We want to do this', And he got Live Nation to write me a $40 million check. It changed my life and the life of my whole family."
Meanwhile, Gaga came under fire for questionable spending through her Born This Way Foundation after accusations $1.85 million were used on expenses while only $5,000 was reportedly donated as a grant.
The star's mother, Cynthia Germanotta, was forced to defend the charity of which she is president.
In a statement she said: Every dollar spent, directly serves Born This Way Foundation's core mission of empowering youth."
Rihanna and Drake have become exclusive.
The 'Hold On, We're Going Home' rapper is reportedly the "happiest" he's ever been since rekindling his short-lived romance with the 'Pour It Up' singer and the couple are so smitten with each other they have decided to stop dating other people.
A source revealed to TMZ.com: "[Drake's] in the best mood he's been in a long time."
Insiders claim Rihanna, 26, is serious about committing to Drake, 27, because he treats her so well in comparison to her on-off ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, who left her bloodied and bruised when he physically assaulted her during an altercation in 2009.
The next step in the couple's relationship follows a series of outings together in recent weeks as Rihanna accompanied Drake in a number of locations including London , Paris and Amsterdam throughout the European leg of his 'Would You Like A Tour?' world tour.
Meanwhile, sources close to the couple claim Rihanna and Drake have been headed towards a relationship for a long while following their brief fling in 2009.
An insider told Hollywoodlife.com: "Rihanna and Drake really have this chemistry and vibe with one another and that's something they can't explain. They're both kind of infatuated with each other."

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "It's typical of Cara to want to do something crazy and impulsive. But she seems deadly serious.
"They've talked about what kind of big day they'd have. Cara says she wants them to wed in their own element with no priest or anyone with a religious background."
It's thought Cara, 21, is keen to do something out of the ordinary and is eyeing up a helicopter ride for the nuptials.
The source added: "She thinks flying above Niagara falls would be perfect - like a no man's land."
The move towards an official declaration of love follows the couple's commitment ceremony during a trip to Thailand earlier this month, and although the proceedings weren't legally binding, they celebrated their blossoming relationship with a religious Baci ceremony known to locals as the kwan.
A source explained: "It can symbolise anything precious like a bond or an achievement, and shows how much they want to make a commitment to each other."
